I believe their initial statement said they would refund them.

But then I recall reading that they didn't for all ... was it something to do with the time since the deposits giving rise to the credits ?

They only refund com credits for deposits less than three months ago. I have no idea how they can justify that. I have over 1000 USD in com. credits and now they have suspended my account.
