If a sportsbook is going to lie about whether it takes a player or not, it becomes relevant and news that SBR readers and sportsbook players as a whole should be aware of. That's why the report went up.
you act like they broke a policy that harmed a client of theirs. nobody has been harmed by this at all. i dont use the book, never have. but this would not influence me at all in that decision (it does make me question sbr's judgment though!)

there is an A book that breaks there own policy and will send withdrawals for over the stated limit. is this a red flag that they break their own policy? should i be worried about this too?

heck, every book probably breaks there own policy several times a week or more. it only matters if someone is harmed by this, otherwise its no news.

So when Cris has m0neyb00kers listed as a withdrawal option in the cashier section, but tells you by live chat that they won't do it, it's also front page news from now on?

                Agree with the consensus.

This does more harm than good for the industry.

Could this be motivated in part to curry favor with certain regulatory eyes? Possibly.

It's basically saying "Hey, Feds ... don't be fooled by SBG Global pretending to stop taking U.S. customers. They're actually still taking U.S. customers, so carry on trying to shut them down and confiscate player funds like you did with BetEd."

Something tells me that if this was something that Bookmaker or Olympic was doing, we wouldn't be seeing a thread about it.

                      Stupid.

You think the feds are gonna learn something from this site that they don't already know

The authorities don't care about these PR announcements. No books think different. Sportsbook.com can stop taking new players for 2 years and it won't matter. It's about the return on the investigation which you can see from the BetED processor which brought new state police cars. They will take whatever pockets of reserves from big gaming sites including what's there from any small gaming sites using the same one. Books consider their preferred .com domains an eventual thing of the past too. For the crappy books, a lot of this non-US announcement stuff is about shedding media contracts, business partners, and promoters because they aren't getting good new business this time of year anyway and odds are there won't be an NFL season. It's news for the sites losing their deal and they are the loudest ones. No existing BetUS player really has any clue that no one else can join and anyone looking for a new book won't know they are down a choice. If there is a football season, almost all of them will have their doors open for anyone who knows how to find them.

With SBG, they are always under the microscope because they steal. Like Justin said, if they aren't taking US players, does that mean less concern about stiffing a big US winner?

what???? do you really believe that there wont be an nfl season? i would take any wagers for any amount that there will be a 16 game NFL season this year. i would say its at least a 10-1 dog that there wont be a full season and much much higher that no games are played

I think the information is helpful and would like more of this type of info. However, would we be getting this info if they were an advertiser? Don't know about that one.
