because that would be outright stealing and i'm sure if enough was taken from US taxpayers, the government would go after them hard.

its not just stealing from the customers. say they got $10m in us funds right now. The US govt could expect, what $2m to get back into accounts. That's a lot of taxable money that has evaporated.

i understand what your saying stats but it doesnt look good early on. im taking the hope for the best approach, expect the worst. bookmaker seems to have been prepared for this, they do not seem prepared. they still are advertising on covers, hold that as a glimmer of hope.

the jist of the update if you dont feel like going over there is that beted is in more trouble then bookmaker, hence why its taking longer.
they guaranteed the security of the players funds already in the accounts.

I can't see the update on Covers. Where is it please?
I do know that Wil at the RX is looking at the options now.
BetED are a sponsor over there, and if they are not in a position to pay players
then a bailout may be an option. But everything is in the early stages still.

OK, found the updates on Covers.
I've put them below for anyone who wants the info.
I hope Lou doesn't mind me posting them here.
With Covers and RX on the case I'm feeling a bit more hopeful.
Post One:
"Things should also be positive at betEd, but they apparently need a little more time to react.
Their emergency response should be better, but tomorrow should give them enough time to get into gear.
We will definitely know more tomorrow."
Post 2:
"There still isn’t a whole lot of news, but we did receive some information from betEd.
We’ve been told that player deposits are absolutely secure and they have been putting all of their efforts into ensuring that the authorities can’t put those funds in jeopardy.
Remember folks, that these people were actually named in that affidavit, whereas Bookmaker did not have actual indictments against the decision-makers. So essentially betEd is in a position where any public response they make can and possibly will be used against them in a court of law. It’s a lot easier to act quickly in Bookmaker’s circumstances.
That being said, I sure wish they would hurry up."

BetEd's rating has been lowered. Like their forum advertiser (Covers), SBR doesn't have much coming from the BetEd camp. We spoke with an accounting contact that was supposed to connect us with upper management.
Players have filed sportsbook complaints indicating that no company wide email has even been sent to their player base at this time.

Sounds to me like they just packed up and left with everyones money. Its amazing that not one person has spoken to Beted's management even once yet. Would you agree Lou?

Yeah, that's totally classless, regardless of what's going on.

I agree that betED's handling of the situation is completely ridiculous, but I don't think they purposely advertised a bonus in order to squeeze a few more drops of blood from the rock. The government also seized their bank accounts remember? What good would your whopping $250 be to them?
I guess a company would rather take a beating on every sports betting forum and social media platform instead of issuing a statement. They should've at the very least acknowledged that the seizure took place, and assured the players that their funds will be safe, but I guess I'm making too much sense. I wouldn't recommend them even if they did come back and pay up. There are better options out there.
Best wishes to those who have balances there. I think you'll get your dough, but it will be a wait.
