Sports Books that offer programmatic betting?
Just wondering if anyone is aware of a sports book that allows you to place wagers programmatically, eg via an API of some description.

I am aware of the XML feeds that a lot of sites provide, but am looking to go the other way - to have the computer place bets.

Appreciate any help and apologies if this is in the wrong forum/has been asked and answered/is a breach of etiquette in some other way.

Not sure to be honest, but I guess it depends on the program you are looking to use.

If it is an program that picks out and places bets on arbs then (for UK books anyway) I dont think there is a set rule, but you will likely find yourself quickly limited.

It would be worthwhile to have a look at a book specific rules as well - for sports betting then I dont think there is a general rule regarding a program placing your bets for you BUT if you are thinking of using a program to work the online casino games then this is where you may come unstuck and fall foul of some rules (see various high profile player/robot vs casino cases). Doesnt seem to matter whether the rule is right or wrong - if it is there and the casino seems to think you are using a robot against their rules then you leave yourself open for them to take a shot at you if you win...

in light of recent dramas, using bots with sportsbooks is like asking for trouble. i think your only safe choice is trading in exchanges as mentioned above
