I bet they are Ausy because their book looks like a copy of Canbet.COM. Anyone know of these guys? SBR hs no rating plus there is no previous threads.
Thanks.

You can trust anything Mark Read puts his name on.
I would rate them A.
As usual the ID situation in Australia is overkill.

i bet at readbet.....i think mark read used to own or had something to do with IASBET but sportsbet bought that so he opened up readbet....was initially horse racing but now obviously sports....has really generous lines @2.00 for AFL, NRL and super15 matches. not as much variety as some but more often than not has better odds. ID is so easy, whats hard about scanning a bill with your address and your photo id card and emailing it? took 2 hours for me to be approved and i had my withdrawal made and money in the bank within 24 hours.
i recommend readbet, yes they are aussie!

It's not Mark Read (well officially it isn't because of his exit deal from IAS). The registered bookie is his niece Kathyrn. But Mark's wife, Shari does work for them as does at least one son.
They have an excellent discount bet product on Aussie and HK racing as well as the terrific no juice footy lines.
But I think you'll find that non-Aussies are only able to bet on racing. Not sports ?

I might give them a shot. On related note, Any recommendations for Aussie books accepting euro players? Might check out some bonuses, or do they give them out mostly for Australians?

They do start pretty low but pick up steam as you get nearer to the game
I find that I can usually get my stake on in full but it might take half a dozen bets to do it
The odds or line are usually reduced after a limit bet but do frequently bounce back
Worth persevering as you'll struggle to get better

The best thing there is
Dormant Account means an Account that has been inactive for a period of six (6) months or more;
An Account Management fee of £2.00 / €3.00 / $5.00 per month will be debited from any account that is dormant.

why is it a problem?
why would you open an account and not bet for 6 months? it's like buying a car and not driving it.
by the way, sbobet also charges 5 pounds or something.

Yes, I think there is such condition at SBO.
I decided to open an account at Readbet, but I'll ask for closure, because the only possible deposit method is a bank transfer. It's useless for non Australians.

Yes.
Fast and efficient service.
Like all Aussie books, safety of funds is the last thing to be concerned about.

Seems pretty dumb to leave money in accounts for years and not use it.
They can hardly take a fee from you if you don't have a balance.
