If the government wanted to seize the domain name, it would be a court warrant filed against the registrar and they would have it - 5Dimes site would work up until the DNS switch to a DOJ site propagated, at which time you'd get the DOJ page. A very different pattern of events to what is happening here, which is symptomatic of a DDOS.

Due to the mounting pressure put on many online gambling companies, popular sportsbook sites like Sportsbook.com, PlayersOnly and Superbook have made the decision to move out of the U.S. government’s crosshairs officially on May 1st, 2011.

Also I believe BetUS is out of the US market as well.

If you want to read between lines, maybe you should consider the fact that online poker was legalized in DC a week before the gov't decided to block FT and PS on a law that had been in place since '06
