#3Mostly cons running that shop, no pros allowed in my experience.
Tried them when they first opened, great bonus which they changed the RO on me retroactively, making bases worth 50 percent risk-payoff amt.
They are a c- shop, a player like you who can withstand the risk to reap the reward is fine their, but for the guy looking to put 300 in and play there are much stronger shopsComment -

#8been there less than 4 months. had live betting limits changed back and forth for the first 2 between 300 and 500. sean from hollywood was trying to figure out what was going on. then my live betting limits go to 1000 for a couple weeks. then all of a sudden down to 150. sean again said he would find out what was going on. turned out to be jazzette risk management saying i was a professional player. made deposits of over $3000 and made 2 withdrawlals at around 8000. that was enough for them to tell me no more deposit bonuses and live betting limits of 150. never even bet the limit. liked sean and thought it was a great place because of bonuses and contests. lots of them. but, should have listened to others that they were the same as jazzette. that is the bottom line. if you like jazzette books - you will like HOLLYWOOD.Comment -

HedgeHog and TrixTrix As you both know Current HW ownership had nothing to with that incident as we have tried to explain to you previously...and even Bill here acknowledges such .... Yeah it sucks... it happened ... It was 5 years ago... The Brits made the call, screwed us all... Since the change in ownership years ago, there has not been one further incident of no pay or slow payComment -

#20very diplomatic answers to all concerns. doesn't change the fact that if you like jazzette books you will like HOLLYWOOD. if you don't like jazzette books you should stay away from HOLLYWOOD. jazzette's risk manangment will make decisons based on play from years ago at jazzette books for HOLLYWOOD. HOLLYWOOD will listen. or have to listen. either way that's what i do not like about HOLLYWOOD. i was there less than four months. played less than 10000 risk a month. from that they decide i am a professional player and no deposit bonuses and $150 limits on all live betting. and why not give all the money or come to some sort of agreement with the people here who had there money stolen from jazzette own HOLLYWOOD. offere them something. a decent % of what they lost. it will make you money in the long run. good PR. and the best reason of all, it's the least you should do for them and the right thing to do.Comment -

#23It was less than four years ago and the rest of your explanation is assinine as well. Screwed us all? How did you get screwed, other than buying into a thieving brand--which you should have known going in. If you buy a Book, you buy their debts as well as their assets. As such, you owe the people they scammed. Stop trying to hide behind this new management BS. Books get bought out all the time--get real.
The facts are what they are. No one is “hiding” behind new ownership BS... It is what it is. We are who we are. You don’t see Jazzette defending any other brand about what happened which might tell you something. Only us. You can ask Bill at SBR yourself.....He knows who the owners are and even posted that HW is back in good hands but he is still holding the brand accountable for the incident. We definitely disagree on that issue but I respect his decision.
You may not ever be one to play with us again but we will both have to live with that. Continued luck to you wherever you play.Comment -

I will gladly remove your deposit bonus limitation no problem just let us know.
Now you did bring up something else very relevant to the big issue regarding the past. I personally met with Bill of SBR to offer a solution to possibly resolve because yes the brand was damaged when that incident happened.
The problem again is there is no list anywhere as to who got harmed. Bill can even confirm my many attempts at resolving this in some way. (see our response to post 19)... Look the reality is HW has grown tremendously since we took the brand back over in spite of our D+ rating here at SBR but I for one am not pleased with D+ which negates our ELITE rating at OSGA and other obvious reasons
Therefore, If one of you has proof of the reversals, and amount, email me directly at vipteam@hollywoodsportsbook.com and I will see what I can do. I’m sure it won’t be what anybody wishes it is but I am willing to see what can be done if anything.
I am a very fair guy and have built 2 of the biggest brands in this industry by making sure clients are paid on time which is what really matters. And I trust you cannot find one payout complaint on HW in recent memory either.Comment -

#25i have no idea what brits did to "screw" us all, all i know is when it came down to protecting their players books like BetUS and sportsbetting.com was willing to fork over their own money to prevent the players from getting screwed, what hollywood do? oh yea went along w/ the hijacking humming all the way.. says alot about which books looks out for the players don't it?
At the time HW was under the complete care and ownership of the previous owners. We were not there or even knew it happened. If a similar incident were to take place now, HW will be the first to do the right thing as we have always done for 12 years while in our control.
So yes in a way we were screwed too *see reply to post 20 because we still pay for it in the court of public opinion which may be a consolation to you. You may also never play with us again and we will both have to live with that. Thankfully, our thousands of current players may have a different opinion of yours which keeps us striving to get better at everything we do on a daily basis.Comment -

#29that leaves 5% of the decisions being made by jazzette's risk managment. since you pay for jazzette's risk managment of course you would listen to them. i get that. why waste your money if you are not going to listen, at least some of the time. did not like being told the reason for the , no deposit bonus and the $150 limit on live betting , was because i was a professional player. the amount of time and money wagering was no where near enough information to come to that conclusion. less than 10000 a month. don't think i had 1 bet where i risked more than 700. live betting i believe i had 1 500 and all the rest average probably 70-100 risk per bet. that's a professional player? or maybe it was winning 3 or 4 thousand in less than 4 months. i don't think that's it. i don't know. got a good bonus gave you a lot of play to accomplish roll and you have that a-lister bonus so the more i risk the bigger the monthly bonus is. you have some great perks at HOLLYWOOD, but i wish you had nothing to do with jazzetee. nothing at all. but i will take you up on giving me a bonus on depsoits. if you still are willing to do that please have sean email or call me. i will continue to play there anyway. a little without deposit bonuses and a lot more with bonuses. to complete roll and get that great a-lister bonus. a lot to me is still around that 10000 per month risk. maybe in the future you will see that i am no threat in live betting either and let me have higher limits in live betting. it's what i like most about my gambling. watching and betting. more clues for me. less time for you to make lines.
how about communicating with the people on this forum directly. just pm them. see if they want to discuss a solution good for both parties. would be taking a chance. might make things worse. if it was me i would appreiciate an offer from someone who does not need an ok from someone else to come to an agreement. and since i already thought that money was gone, i would definatly at least listen to what you had to say.Comment -

#30HH contrary to your belief, when we took the brand back over, there was not a column on the balance sheet called "Confiscation Balances" that added value of the brand similar to “Good Will”, which is what our brand was built on for 8 years prior to the sale to Sportingbet, which we are now trying hard to regain mostly with SBR posters who were affected by the previous owners decision to enforce their rules at the time, right or wrong.
The facts are what they are. No one is “hiding” behind new ownership BS... It is what it is. We are who we are. I will give you this--Hollywood was a very good Book before Jazette bought them, I was with them beforehand. Then when they switched us over it was an instant excuse to steal due to multiple accounts (I already had a SB.com acct). Then of course, there was the correlated parlay confiscation. Theft after theft. Bottom line is that if you buy a shit brand, you inherit their reputation.
Consequently, you are shit.Last edited by HedgeHog; 05-12-11, 04:51 PM.Comment -

Thank you for your comments.. Risk Management is certainly an imperfect science. There is no set of rules to follow.. We have a client that would be considered “recreational” that just ran his balance to 120k… Oh well…. Everybody here is just trying to do their jobs to the best of their ability and making sure our clients are happy and that we do not take too many beatings.
We of course accept that when we do. In your case we could certainly be wrong. It happens. The good news with us is getting paid is not a worry in spite of the precarious nature of the biz right now.
I made the offer regarding removing you from “bonus suppression” and I have already put those wheels in motion. Sean will contact you shortly…. Yes our A-LISTER program is a big success based on the feedback we get. I’m glad you like what we do.
Your live betting limits are certainly reviewable on a monthly basis as I hope Sean advised you previously. In fact If I recall I invited you to first come play with us directly.. It didn’t turn out too bad for you I imagine.
Now as you mention about working other posters.. I put it out there in a previous post… All I can do is see who chooses to take action and see what we can do….
Continued Success to youComment -

#35Really? Billy D is backing your Book now. So why the subpar SBR rating still? You buy a shit Book and you wonder why everyone still smells shit?
I will give you this--Hollywood was a very good Book before Jazette bought them, I was with them beforehand. Then when they switched us over it was an instant excuse to steal due to multiple accounts (I already had a SB.com acct). Then of course, there was the correlated parlay confiscation. Theft after theft. Bottom line is that if you buy a shit brand, you inherit their reputation.
Consequently, you are shit.
Again the facts are what they are…. You choose to think you know all the facts.
First I did not say Bill D is backing us in any way shape or form. Please re-read what I said…. In fact just the opposite… I said He chose to keep our rating at D or now D+ since he feels the brand is still liable for the incident, while we feel the previous owners are solely liable…. right or wrong. Matter of opinion.
Thanks for the acknowledgement about our past. It certainly is the reason sportingbet chose to buy us. Considering we are basically back in the same hands, your continued animosity is disappointing. I am not sure what happened immediately after the sale to sportingbet regarding your accounts or anybody’s for that matter…. We were out and there is no way now to determine who was negatively affected. But currently multiple accounts are allowed here as long as not set up to violate wagering limits…. Not that you care……..
Again you miss the point of what I said.… We did not buy a shit brand, we took back a great brand and industry pioneer due to our unhappiness as well, we just chose to keep silent on the matter for the last few years for obvious reasons… again not that you care, but HW is back bigger and better than ever to ensuring our players enjoy our site from log on to log off.
We will have to just agree to both be the best we can be at this point..Comment
