Thoughts on Sign-Up Bonuses

As many of you know I'm waiting on my last withdrawal check from Sportsbetting.com; When I get my check I requested on March 31st I'm depositing that cash into a new book.

I've noticed something. Almost every book online I've looked at offers huge bonues for first time sign ups. I've even seen 50 percent bonuses! It sure does sound good.. (if it sounds too good it is) but why do people do this?

I read the fine print; I haven't choosen yet; however, I wanted your opinion on this.

Why do people take the "bonuses" then get upset when they want to take out our winnings. This seems crazy!

Deposit 500, get 50 bonus, have to bet atleast 1600 before you can take it all out.. lol

Why don't people opt out of bonuses and let the books let go of your nuts? I would feel like I have someone grabing my nuts by these little rules.

Anyone been burned by these "bonuses" that you didn't read the full disclosure?

I'm aware of your processing issues with Sportsbetting sir.

In reality the 3 or 5x's rollovers aren't that bad to complete at all really sir. In fact bonus whores/scalpers use those offering to their advantage to the maximum, and usually will have it completed fast.

I feel books are more upset of mini-syndicates that start taking advantage of those nice bonus offering and trying to find ways to beat the limits, which causes delays, confiscations, ect, ect.

Hearing all the horror horror stories here, I don't even want a bonus. I'll just play with my own money, thank you.

I personally like the bonuses. However, I only use B or better rated sites and I do read the fine print, just to make sure I understand what I am getting into. I have yet to have a problem, however I am working on several rollovers at this time.

only a dumbass would not take bonuses at some books (pinnacle for example) but I avoid bonuses at some other...

I take bonus's everywhere. If they are offering I'm accepting. Mind you there are some books I wouldn't put any money into so even a 2000% bonus wouldn't matter. Can you say Cascade, oddsmaker, sportsbook.com etc.

Ditto. Avoid the D+ and lower books. Be very suspicious of C+ to C- books. Take the free money at B- and above.

To echo others here, it depends on the book of course.....I recently had the opportunity to acquire a bonus at BetJamaica, and didn't hesitate for a nanosecond to request it. When it came time for me to request my payout, there was no problem at all. Prompt withdrawal, "Thank you for playing", the whole nine yards; No shenanigans, no delays. Basically what one would expect from the cream of the crop and a very well run company.

Then there are the mid to bottom-feeders. Some of these lower-rated mickey mouse joints passing themselves off as sportbooks offer generous bonuses of course, then are shocked, even angered, when one meets their rollover requirements and then has the audacity to request a withdrawal. I recall being told years ago that I hadn't rolled my balance clear "by enough". In other words, I'd achieved my required 4 time rollover, but only just, and that I had to get closer to a 6 time rollover as a "buffer zone". Just one of the many thug-like operations out there that we've all come across, run by people who really have no ****ing idea what they are doing when it comes right down to it.
