William Hill buys two Nevada sportsbook franchises
According to the Gaming Today newsletter handed out in Vegas sportsbooks, Williams Hill has purchased the entire Leroy's chain of sportsbooks as well as the Cal Neva franchise.

I will miss the Cal Neva franchises as they had lower juice on moneylines than any other book, but Leroy's was horrible and overall this is fantastic news. William Hill offers far more lines than any other Nevada book except maybe Cantor and Lucky's, which is great for people who like to bet small market sports. The sale is also especially good news for soccer bettors. William Hill still needs to be approved by Gaming, but once that happens we'll see William Hill books all over Nevada.

Curious to see how this will work, will the machines just be portals to their website?

That would be too funny if your online wager limits carried over to Nevada!! lolol BUT, it seems to be a forward thinking move on Will Hills part.

You must have them confused with another Will Hill. Try 50c :-)

For all USians moaning about your sportsbooks, wait till you experience the sheer outright crappiness of British books.

They would have no way of knowing your online limits when you walk into a casino and make your bet at a window... and being limited is better than the book just refusing to take action on one side of a posted line, which is what Leroy's has done in the past.

Who did this happen to? Pretty sure you can't take action on only one side in Nevada... Seems like something to take the control board...

Happens fairly often. Leroy's the worst as as far as this goes.
Gaming Control Board does nothing about that.

99% of people feel it's useless to complain (which it is) and accept it.
For the other 1%, it's easy for the book to lie and say "We just received a bet on the other side and were about to move the line you want to bet", "I was about to move it 10 minutes ago but got busy", etc., etc.

IIRC Justin7 posted that this happened to him. Look through his posts if you want to see for yourself.

Leroy's books fair (if inconsistent). Very easy to get beaten to a number there. Play better.

Is it a smart move from Will Hill or a smarter move from Leroy's ... Main question should be, what do US customers gain from this purchase ??

used to have a leroys sports account untill they limited me to $20 a couple of years ago. Also, you used to have to make deposits and withdrawals a one central location. years ago they were at vacation village and then they moved to riviera hotel. but they never notified any of their customers. I mean they have their customers phone number and address but they never sent anything or called anyone after several months and hundreds of gaming control complaints they finally upadated their website with new address.
