SBRtv Interview With I. Nelson Rose About The Poker Site Shutdowns
    I. Nelson Rose of www.gamblingandthelaw.com called in to the SBRtv studios to comment on what went down on "Black Friday" in the poker world with the US Department of Justice seizing the domain names of the top 3 US-facing online poker sites.

There were some technical difficulties during the call, so the interview was not able to be completed, but Professor Rose was able to address most of what was planned.

Check for Professor Rose's upcoming interview on CNN about this matter as well.

      Pretty good

Looks like this was all overblown and nothing going to happen to poker operators

conclusion: usa players just cannot play like they cannot play at sportsbooks in europe

            Great interview.
The part about indian reserves here in Canada is interesting. I learned quite a bit about native rights in my law classes. Basically, the federal government keeps them happy by leaving them alone, up until something major happens. See Dudley George shooting.

I was surprised he thinks that Costa Rica wouldn't extradite an American bookmaker here because the activity is "licensed." CR would give any of em up for a ham sandwich. It's that the DOJ can't assemble a case, not that CR is safe ground.

Great interview, there's another win with Mr. Rose here I heard yesterday Link

I was worried the DOJ could just seize domain names at will and only give them back after U.S. players are banned. Mr. Rose has confirmed this isn't the case and we are safe!!

Merge, True Poker, and Bodog have little to worry about
