You just have to have an account at Heritage, probably an active one as well.. Doesn't have anything to do with the newsletter. Just log in and get your square before they fill up.

Same here. I think you need to have made a deposit recently to qualify, and I haven't had to re-up for some time there. I'm just thankful I can still participate in the Halftime promo.

Yes, it is. I've been excluded from every contest this year. Requirement is deposit after September 1st. Needed 'special permission' to participate in March Madness contest.

I didn't have the square show up for me. I emailed them and they opened the contest up for me and I got a square. Thanks to Heritage and this thread - I probably wouldn't have known about it otherwise.

The 2nd to last rule clearly says you have to deposit since Oct last year. But they could make some exceptions, I guess.
