    newbie here, want some help!
    Hi all!
I am all new to the world of gambling and all, don't know anything about sports! Just wanted to make some money. So I came upon a site of a handicapper claiming to make you money before charging you! So I had just $20 in my account, so I called this guy, in two days he gave me 2 bets which made my account reach $70. Today he wanted me to pay him $50 for todays picks and for the next 1 month, but I told him that I need atleast $100 in my account to pay him $50 out of it and gamble with $50 left in it. He said that i needed to figure out what to do with the $70 I have and get $50 to pay him or else he will not give me anymore bets, and hanged up! You all know better than me, is this a legit service? Should I somehow get some money to pay him?
    Thanks!

Do not pay him and forget about all services which charge you for picks. Most of the time, you will have better luck with making your own picks than taking their plays. Those people make their money not by betting/winning on sports but by having people pay for their services. Good job on coming to a forum and ask about it before being scam for the money. Consider the extra $50 you got a gift and don't consider about a pay service anymore.

I don't know of anyone or any site specifically. I can only recommend frequenting sites such as SBR where some poster will track in details their win/loss record and post their picks before hand. If you are as new as you claim to be, follow at your own risk. Treat it like like a hobby and bet small and have some fun. Don't do anything crazy until you have more experience.

it just isn't that easy. do not pay anyone for picks. plenty of free picks around. they are all just as good as anyone else. do not try any systems, they are also all bullshit. do not pay him a nickel. he gave you nothing. lets say i have 100 people. 50 i tell side 'a' wins - 50 i tell side 'b' wins--------after the game 50 people think i may know what i am doing. then i tell 25 that are leftof the 50 side 'a' wins-25 side 'b' wins. 25 people are starting to belive me. you get the idea. it is easy to have some people think your a genius after a while. after 3 or 4 wins in a row some people will pay big.they have no idea you lost money for all those people in the 1st and 2nd games. sure a couple people will get 4 wins in a row. and 6 people will get 3 wins. and around 12 will get 2 wins but 25 will only get 1 win and 50 will get no wins. if someone knew they could win gambling , picking winners, why would thay bother to sell anything and do all that work. need cash - just pick a few games. make a pay check. it just isn't that easy. pay attention. bet small. maybe in time you can start playing larger and hitting enough to make it worth the time you have to put in. good luck.

sports betting is like any other pursuit in life
only those who have done the hard yards can gain from it
everyone else is purely a gambler
              and gamblers lose

You guys are right, I was just looking into other ways to make money, following the big guys and making some extra cash. I came upon this site a month back and signed up yesterday. I have a free picks service already mailing me everyday picks and they have a average of 55% claimed on their site and 60% on handicappers watchdog site. They only request donations from happy customers. This paid service capper promised me 70% wins thats why I nearly paid him $50. Which I definately won't be doing now. By the way this free pick pervice is toples total. Anyone know them?

there are a few forums where winning punters post tips
however I don't think it's in the interest of those who know about them to go telling the world
you'll need to sus them out for yourself
as I said before .. this game isn't an opportunity for making quick bucks without having done an apprenticeship
