Any chance thegreek/betjamaica would pull out of the US?
With Matchbook not operating anymore for the us based customers, where are you guys going? I had accounts at matchbook, 5dimes and bodog and the majority of my bets were at matchbook but now they are no longer an option. Everyone dislikes bodog it seems.

And is it true that if thegreek ever pulls out of the united states, then offshore gambling is done period? I heard there was no way bodog would ever leave the u.s. because Calvin Ayre says that won't happen

But with pinnacle and now matchbook no more to the us players, is it possible A+ books like thegreek/betjamaica or bookmaker would ever pull out of the US or is that just not possible??

I cannot see how they don't allow sportsbooks at all casinos United States wide, unless of course they use the addiction and fiscally responsibility angle which is garbage as I can walk down to the store and grab 2 cartons of cigs and 8 cases of beer and go to town, which is fine. I don't have the chance to profit finacially off those 2 items, a sportsbet, yes I can.

This will probably happen sooner than we think. The federal government rests and operates on a historic mountain of debt that will probably never come close to being "paid off." State and local governments are going bankrupt on a daily basis. Proposed legislation in Florida, New Jersey, California, and Iowa offer a glimmer of hope, as lawmakers are beginning to realize that the only way to sustain government is to look for alternative/creative methods of taxation. Online gaming offers just that. In the first two months of 2011, two new online gaming lobbying groups have formed. The fact that state legislatures are simply "considering" legalization is promising. With a renewed interest in state "sovereignty" in Washington, the federal government may have a tough time interfering with any state gaming legislation.

You never know. Again, the only realistic solution is to allow internet gaming in the U.S, run by U.S. Casinos and Sportsbooks, with absolutely no outside contacts with the current off shore sites. Allow companies like Harrah's, MGM-Mirage, and others to open on line sportsbooks and treat their customers as they would in person, when it comes to tax issues. I have also heard that a 1 to 2% surcharge could be added to all deposits, which would go to the Feds. This is the best way to go. Players would not have to worry about transfering funds, trying to get funds withdrawn, off shore book going belly up, etc... It may cost you a little more to play, but is 1 or 2% worth the peace of mind? Is it worth 1 or 2% to receive next day payouts directly deposited to wherever you want it to go? Your choice guys and gals, but to me, the choice is obvious.

As long as there are offshore books that are not owned or partially owned by US citizens, there is only so much the feds can do.

Seems to be just matter of time before plug is pulled on everyone in the US. It's quite sad...

I don't think so unless there is a change in management.
