when they launched the new site a few months back I was told the Asian site was no longer

the alternative odds display now offered is an improvement though not as good as the old Asian site

I know that, but on the 188BET website you can change the view from "1x2" to "Asian Handicap & Over / Under". That view is not the old asian view, but it's still useful. On the 12BET website it looks like you can't change this view.

The 12BET problem is solved. Now european customers don't get automatically to the european website any longer. I hope this setting will not change again in the future.

they are too valuable to me however to give them the arse over the matter, much as I dislike the site

Some software upgrades are really software downgrades, their new software is slow, and if there are 200 games on the board and you want to place a bet firefox/IE search features cannot find the team you want to bet on, firefox worked fine with the old software did.

I'm convinced that the only reason that they introduced the alternative odds display is because I and others told them what a mess they'd made of it.

Having been in business I learned how valuabe customer feedback and complaints are as a means of effecting improvements. Just too bad that too many people prefer to just keep quiet or walk away when they have so much they could contribute.
