they sent an e-mail late that night claiming it was a "past post wager", when it clearly wasn't.

I bet it during a commercial break. I never even check while game action was going on.

I e-mailed them back and they just kept repeating "it has been identified as a past post wager."

More like it has been identified as something with one sided action that we think we can get away with voiding.

Tell them you'd like to see proof of them voiding a losing wager.

Did any kind of big score, or big play happen immediately after the time out? If not... should have no affect on your action and should file an SBR complaint. They are pretty good at helping out as long as the complaint isn't against themselves.

Yep....I made the same bet. I was one minute after yours apparently. The line remained open after the Jets scored their last TD and the Steelers returned the kickoff to mid field. Mine was voided too and I got the same email.

me too. Jet +11.5 did look generous, although Steelers looked like they could score a TD at that point. Still can't believe they scored 0 for 2H.

There have been many threads about Bodog canceling live bets on the forums. I think there was a long one on 2+2 and I don't believe the issue was ever resolved.

I don't remember how NYJ scored... but if their field position was substantially the same when you bet it, as when they first offered it, you have a case.

If NYJ moved the ball 20 yards or scored after it was first offered, it is a line error (but not really a past-post).

they're acting like the bets were placed while action was going on.

It was a line error.

Bets were placed during the commercial break, and they're refusing to honor them.

Past-post in this case means the bet was made at the time that the line should have been taken off board. I am not too upset about this though. Still like Bodog.

How can you not be upset? This is just another example, in a long line of examples of how easy it is to get ripped off by these books. Did they "void" all the wagers that were placed on the Steelers at the same time? I doubt it.

it is not the players fault if bodog falls asleep..they took a free shot at you..if jets didn't cover 11 1/2 would they have cancelled it???????????

I spoke with bodog.com and here's what I have as an explanation:

The line wasn’t correctly taken off the board after the Jets scored the touchdown late in the 4th quarter. The touchdown occurred at 9.35pm yet customers could still wager the Jets at +11.5 after it was scored which is obviously a bad line as they were only down by 5 points (Pittsburgh 24 Jets 19). We canceled every wager on the game after 9.35pm including those on Steelers -11.5. The game was not available for betting after this incident.

There was simply not enough time to go through and cancel all of the wagers and inform customers as this was at the 2 minute mark. No matter what the final result had been all wagers would have been canceled and we would not have let them stand even if Pittsburgh had somehow miraculously covered.

It was unclear (to me anyway) that the score was 24-19 at the time of those wagers.

I guess I would agree the line wasn't right under those circumstances
