Discussing this with a friend today. How many active accounts do you think the top books out there have?

and when I say active, lets say "active" means they have placed a bet in the past 7 days

I heard Bookmaker has 60,000 total with everything. Anyone know for sure? I find 10,000 to be much lower than I expected

Active? 10,000 is way, way high--even during football.

                Bookie,

                This includes their runners.

You need to have 30,000 loyalty points to be Platinum

I think its 80-100K points to be Diamond (VIP).

You may think they bank but he said roughly they make 8% yearly of all total deposits. Doesnt sound like much but if they get a total of 150M 8% is 12M. This is the profit. They have other sites as well.

                Bookmaker+CRIS+DIAMOND+BETONSPORTS=SAME

Well, a friend of mine is head of the IT department at a book, and he refers to it as a small book, and said that they have around 10,000 active players. So if 10,000 is small, who knows what a medium/large book is.

A couple of years back Betfair claimed to have passed 3 million account holders mark
don't know what percentage would be 'active'

Yea BK at the bookmaker site has over 100K accounts but not all active, lot of people set up multiple accounts or people set up accounts one day and lose and never use it again
