    I love parlays
THESE THREADS ARE NOT TO PUMP MY CHEST (i don't know you)... THIS IS TO GIVE EVERYONE HOPE... BELIEVE IN THE PARLAY... TAKE YOUR PLAYS STRAIGHT, YES, OF COURSE... BUT IF YOU LOVE THEM (and you shouldn't be playing them if you don't love them)... IT IS WORTH PUTTING THEM ALL TOGETHER IN A PARLAY... A SOLID PLAYER SHOULD WIN 3,4,5,6 IN A ROW A FEW TIMES EACH MONTH... PUTTING 1/10 OF YOUR STRAIGHT BETS IN A MONSTER PARLAY IS PROFITABLE... AND WILL INCREASE YOUR BANKROLL

if u take three straight bets for 500, and put 100 on a parlay, go 2-1 (standard) +450-100 = +350 for the night, good night... but now let's say you won that third game, +1500+600... now you are +2100, great night! if you go 1-2, what's -650 compared to -550... do me it's a no brainer... now you might say, "yeah but over the long run"... but the reality of the situation is you should be going 3-0 at least once a week, assuming you go 3-0 once a week, it's clearly profitable... and when you hit that 6-teamer with moneyline dogs... now you've covered a month of parlays, easy... plus i'm still in this for the action... if you're not hats off to you...

seems to me you are simply falling for the false theory that pig payout = good value

the maths don't stack up UNLESS you are getting better odds than taking singles

in fact it doesn't match taking singles because you don't have to back them all at the one shop so can get better odds

        what am I missing here?

and why is it necessary to start a new thread every time you collect one of these ,thus fragmenting the discussion on their merits?

In the absence of any reasoned argument, I'll take that to mean you haven't got a clue.

Please don't start another thread and another discussion next time you land one.

I'll respect that... this will be my last parlay post... but i still think these monsters are worth a shot once in a while... especially for the bowls when you have a month to look at these lines and really pick out you're 10 favorite... but 100 on 10 games and go 10-0 you win $1,000... but 100 on a parlay and go 10-0... well now you can send your kid to college... i just think for $100 that you might piss away spending cash it's worth a shot

Parlays are fun, for the action. But I found taking loads of small parlays ate into my profit margin in a big way, so stopped.

As if to make a liar out myself, I did hit a +1220 3 dog hockey parlay today though.

                Just can't help myself sometimes.

don't you know parlays are for newbs?
long term investment gamblers do not play parlays.

I tend to run parlays alot, and even though i'd say I only win them about 25-35% of the time, it's usually a pretty hefty payout when I do actually hit on one...I will admit, I love them...but straights are always the more consistent method for me. I just like a parlay for the rush hahaha.
