    I have a bookie question
I just need to know an answer from someone that really knows. I have a local bookie that I was using the last 2 weeks. Last week and part of this week I was losing and in the hole for about $800. On Sunday I hit all of my plays. Well, I went to place my bet for last night and before I even bet the bookie told me that he never was able to reach the next chain of command on the bookie chain to get anybody's bet in on the Nevada/ BC game. I hit my play and this bookie never called me and said the bet was no good until he told me last night. In my opinion that is not my problem. He takes the local bets and passes them on to the next higher level. If I get my bet placed with this local, then I think that is all I should have to be concerned with. What is the right thing here????

Get a new bookie, or bet online. Unless there is some known arrangement where he needs to double confirm bets its on him and no way you should pay the $800 you were down. Deduct this win from total and make last settlement. If you should have a + balance after this win then press issue a little, but after that write it off and move on. Again no way you're responsible unless there is more to how your relationship worked.

Drop him like he's hot! This is obviously a "small bookie" problem which is why you should only use large locals with at least 50 clients and a rep to uphold.

That's crazy. I'm sure he would have told you this if your BC bet had lost.

Count the winner whether he likes it or not. Then settle the account and fund an offshore book like Bet Jamaica. Run and never talk to this clown again.

He is taking a free shot against you. Unless he told you no action before the game started, screw him.
