The Greek Require ID now for xfer???
I tried to do xfer from the greek into matchbook and this is what they send me. Even I made deposit byt **.

    Dear ....

Please be advised that due to our banking regulations, we require a valid
picture ID showing the address on file for withdrawal processing. Please
submit your ID by fax to 1-800-310-8304 (local fax 1-876-953-6534/ 6181) or
    scan and e-mail to accounts@thegreek.com.

If the ID does not bear the address on file, any utility bill showing the
name and address on file can be submitted along with the ID.

    Thanks for choosing The Greek.

When Pinnacle was available to US, ditto Neteller, no ID with withdrawal (or deposit) was required.

Nor is it required for any of the CR books. The Jamaica books are limiting their client base by insisting on such., I know three players who refuse to open there because of this requirement,

I would be reluctant to send that kind of info to a book in a First World land, Jamaica, at best (despite its Brit heritage) is NOT 1st World. Second at best,

Wonder how much the info from an American driver's licence sells for on the side allleys of Kingston?

Yes, I realize that other books often require a photo ID when withdrawing or depositing with a credit card. I'm talking about Western Union or Moneygram deposits (and withdrawals if needed)

I remember a couple of years ago they started asking for ID's before withdrawing due to the big database scare. So I can't say this is anything really new at all.

I believe it was last year sometime when I sent my ID to The Greek for a withdrawal. Not really a big deal and once it is on file, you don't have to do it again.

When I played at bowmans, they required an ID scan after deposit and PRIOR to issuing a bonus. It's going to start being a fact of life prior to withdrawing from most books I think. SIA required it after deposit as well.

Just send it, what's the big deal? I'm sure they have their reasons. They did not build their business on giving people a hard time.

Don't like the new rules? Remember that next time you vote.

The industry has changed thanks to UIGEA and if people want to play offshore they need to adapt, period.

I sent my ID to betjam so I could be eligible for their debit card...then they told me I had to bet a certain amount of money a week to have it

so I closed my acct with them that same day

hopefully they got rid of my ID info.....

I made sure not to send them a total clear copy though....you really never know who is viewing ur info when you send it out like that

and my take is.....if it comes down to offshore books wanting to scan my ID to play there...when I use nothing but ** or ** to move the money to and from....I will quit offshore

You can still get a withdrawal by check without ID at the Greek (right)?

From what I can remember reading about 6-8 months ago, verification forms are required if you make "ANY" kind of withdrawal within 30 days of 1st deposit. So naturally I would have to assume that this policy is still in good standing at this time, especially after reading the above.

Hmmm. I never had that problem with Betjamaica, but then again the Greek is a different book.

I rarely use my greek account (yet to request a payout). But, with baseball coming up, that's bound to change real fast.

Same parent company, but different rules indeed though. However, it might be a rule that only implies to credit card type deposits/withdraws. Because I know many books back then had similar type rules implemented. I'll check into this matter a little more in depth and see what I can find out sir.

I feel a lot more comfortable playing at a book that wants to verify my identity before sending me my cash than at one that doesn't.

I don't understand people who feel otherwise.

As for your drivers license info, all of that information can be found in public records on the internet. It's not worth anything.
