Going to change my approach do not trust a lead in the NBA. Last time I had a couple point lead let it ride and won by 1/2 point, I was lucky. This time if I am ahead, I am going to hedge on a halftime line, maybe the full amount but at least half.

i don't love the new site, but for some reason its not blocked on computers at work, so thats a big plus. overall a great book, and it has nothing to do with website, just absolute first class customer service! If bookmaker and 5dimes had HERITAGE customer service, every other book would be out of business......but they don't and never will.
who do you guys like in get out at halftime game tonight?

It says max wager amount is $500...so if it's -108/-108, does this mean $540/$500, or $499/$462??

$540 to win $500 is fine.

I'm leaning toward OKC +1 only because I think the public will push this game to PK by tipoff. So a decent strategy might be to do $540/$500 +1 at Heritage, then $500/$540 ORL -1 at MB late this afternoon. Then if ORL is up big at halftime, cancel the OKC bet at Heritage. If OKC is up big or it's close, let both ride and worst that can happen is you move $500 from MB to Heritage.

I think I am just going to try to middle with a halftime bet - leaning OKC

Heritage will allow you to buy points too for this promo.
Orlando -1.5 is +104 at Matchbook.

So far I've been paid every time this season, using the second strategy (posted for the first HT promo):
You can let the bet ride, with the advantage of knowing the halftime score, or you can middle it.
Options:
- 500 on team A at Heritage, 500 on team B somewhere else.
If team A covers the 1H spread, you're stuck with both bets. If team B covers the 1H spread, you cancel the bet on team A, and have at that point a positive EV ticket for team B in hand. You can let it ride, or middle it with a 2H bet on team A (for whatever amount you're comfortable with). This approach only improves your halftime edge when team B covers the 1H spread.
- 500 on team A at Heritage, 250 on team B somewhere else.
a) If team B covers the 1H spread, you cancel your Heritage ticket. You can let the bet on team B ride, or middle it at halftime with a 2H bet on team A. Because team A has lost the 1H ATS, it can now cover the 2H spread while still allowing team B to cover the full game spread. The more team A is behind at halftime, the wider the window for the middle.
b) If team A covers the 1H spread, you can let both bets ride, or add a 2H bet on team B for another 250. Same idea as before. Having lost the 1H ATS, team B won't have to cover as much ground in the 2H as it would have before the game to cover the full game spread.
Of course, to set up a middle it helps if you place your initial bets on the right side of a line movement. For this first game the line movement could be as much as three points (especially if you have a book with free half points).
I didn't include the juice, and it could make a difference; especially the unknown hafltime juice (could be -115).
Anyway, just some thoughts. I'm sure I missed something. lol

That's my thinking too. After last night's OT loss, Orlando will come out strong in the first half--setting up a good middle opp with OKC on the HT line.

They say to call the wagering dept to get off the bet. I would follow their instructions.

I played it ultra conservative. Grabbed Orlando -1.5 +200 live betting to guarantee a profit either way.

I have been lucky with these I have either won or bailed out. The middle was a bonus this week. This was first time I hedged on a halftime bet. Hit the $500 plus a $200 hedge. Can't wait for the next one, good luck when that one comes along to everyone. Also make sure your picks get in today for the NBA pick the pros - Selections must be submitted before: 1/14/2011 4:05:00 PM PST

Go on site and sign up. It may not be for a while but maybe you will get an invite. Or simply call and advise your interested. It will be entirely up to them if you get the invite.
