Pinnacle turns off live betting at halftime of TNF

At halftime, you can wager on 2nd half line and its basically the same line. Great value really when you have pinnacle in the long run.

If they wanted the night off, why would there be any live betting at all? sportsbooks don't take the whole week off because Christmas is coming up.

It must've been just because the game was out of hand and live betting wasn't going to be profitable. Carolina just flat out couldn't move the ball.

LOL it wasn't a technical issue as they were offering Miami-Phoenix live bet until the end.

I bet that Pinny was getting 100% action on Steelers and under and the live bet line making person got so frustrated he refused to put up 2nd half.

OK, you misread the thread.

I know where to find second half lines.

I'm saying Pinnacle has live betting on primetime football games, and they didn't have it in the second half. They stopped at halftime.

Yes, your comment is pretty dumb. I guess you've never used a sportsbook that shuts down early some night right before Christmas for a holiday party, but I've used many, many books that have shut down betting after a certain point on some night right before Christmas "so our staff can enjoy our annual holiday party" or have cut back halftime betting on the random late CBB games in Hawaii or Alaska or wherever. When the only NFL game on the board involves a heavy favorite, that's a pretty good night to decide to shut down live betting in the second half.

Then why did they offer a 2h line in the first place?

I've certainly seen them offer live betting on uglier games than that one. Even if they didn't want to put up a spread on Pittsburgh they still could have offered an o/u, which I've seen them do before. (Shut down either the side or total while offering action on the other one.)

If someone read this thread without knowing the score, they'd have no idea that Carolina actually covered the second half line! You guys make it sound like live betting was impossible to line because Pittsburgh was so dominant, but Pittsburgh second half bets were losing bets.

Yes, I have plenty of books that offered more betting on Christmas than they did on the night they closed for their holiday staff party. I guess you're new to offshore betting?

What does some other book offering live betting on that specific night have to do with Pinnacle? I tried to go to dinner last Wednesday evening and the restaurant was closed for a holiday staff party, so instead I went somewhere else. I guess in your world the first restaurant must have run out of food because the second restaurant was open.

The actual "clueless commentary" in this thread is from the people insisting that the Steelers dominated the second half making live betting impossible when Carolina covered the 2h! I can't even imagine any point in the 2h where a reasonable live line would have made Steelers action a winner.
