Pinnacle Price Changes

Has anyone else been caught out by Pinnacles price changes. A couple of times now they have dropped their price and you don't get the chance to decline the new price. You are just lumbered with the new lower price on the bet receipt. Luckily it has only been on small bets but one day it will b very costly.

Even on live betting they warn you of the new price before you confirm it. Any discrepancies from the original price and the confirmed price only happen due to lack of attention paid on the confirm page.

Here is an example for those of you a bit slow. See above on the ticket receipt how the price has droppd from +420 to +418. I never had the chance to accept the price reduction.

I've seen a "screen shot" like that. But in the previous page they DO warn you before placing the bet.

Never had it happen. I have seen reduced odds offered highlighted on the confirm page, but never had them change between the confirm and receipt pages.

What's more annoying is trying to get a bet on when they just tell you the line has changed and you have to click, click, and click some more to try and get the bet on, only to have it happen again all while the odds are dropping.

No there is always an alert of price changes at Pinnacle. You just have to pay more attention.

Never seen this before either, like Aiming High, I always get the message saying their has been a line change and have to go back to the Sports menu and start all over again. I would much prefer the option to take the revised odds.

Pinny also "warns" you when the line changes in your favor and you can get better odds now, i've never made a bet there without getting the line i saw.

correct ... every time in my experience and that's going back a decade playing at Pinnacle ... I wish ALL books would post such a warning

I always get a time expired screen in-play if the price has moved. then I have to go back to the main page and back into the live betting for the game and see the new price. Sometimes I have to do that loop 3 or 4 times before I can get a bet in.

To me this seems to be the exact wording BEFORE making a confirmation. This is not a confirmed bet, this is the message you get after making your selection and you need to click "Confirm wager" before it´s final. Or am I missing something here?

No, I don´t think so either.

This is the confirmation stage at which you are warned if there is a price change. Then it´s up to you if you´re willing to accept the new price or not.

Anyway, I hope you made the bet since it came out a winner

I have not contacted them. I would not want to harm my standing with them.

I posted it here to warn others. Hopefully Pinnacle will fix the problem without my involvement. They may actually have read this.

Chance, I've seen that on the receipt screen, but the price hasn't changed between confirmation and receipt. Ie. there's been a price change between selection and confirmation, and it's shown on the confirm page. Then, once I've confirmed at the new price, the same wording about the price change has shown on the receipt page (and the receipt price has been the same as the new price on the confirm screen). So maybe that happened?

i've had the opposite. i place 4-5 straight bets at the same time. it says one or more of the lines have changed and i have to go back and place them all again

I've had it quite a few times, at least 3 or 4 times a week, where I've chosen the odds and stake, got to the confirm screen and luckily noticed the price had changed with a note.

I used to get caught out by the risk/stake when I selected american odds instead of the usual decimal.

When you guys bet live do you get a message asking you if you want the new price or do you guys just get a page that says the price is changed and you have to go back to the sportsbook and back into the live betting and bet the new line? I have to deal with the latter all of the time and it's frustrating.

there does appear to be some inconsistency in their software

most times you just get told there's been a change in the odds, other times you actually get the option to accept the new odds

but never have I found that I didn't get warned and the bet is placed at odds which differ from what I've selected

I agree with that statement. I would wish that every bookie will inform their customers that clearly Pinnacle does. For the future I would wish that Pinnacle would always offer the option to bet on the new line. But first of all they should fix their problems with the reachability of their website.
