Question about wd for people with BetJam

Put this in "players talk", but thought I would try it here too. Getting ready to wd some money from Bet Jamaica and deposit it into BkofAma acct. I read somewhere on here recently that someone received a check from BJam written on a Canadian bank, and they had a hassle depositing it in a US bank account...I think maybe it took a long time to clear. So will the check make any reference to Bet Jam (or online gambling) on it? Are they always drawn on Canadian banks? If so, can I request otherwise? Finally, anyone ever dep a BetJam check into a BkofAma account? How did it go? If there is a better way to get my money, any input would be welcome.

Just want to eliminate any problems by doing this as efficiently as possible. Answers to any or all of these questions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

People deposit international and foreign checks all the time. Just deposit the damn thing. 99% chance you will have zero problems.

Ok. I guess my concerns were whether there would be an extremely long clear time, and whether the bank might question it because of where it is coming from.

7 days max. If it's a Canadian check it will probably clear in the same time any other check would.

7 days max for international check, hell no LOL GL to ur check, i've experience it once and seen people had difficulty with checks. Update us on with that check though

The difficulty people have here isn't because of the clearing time of a good international check. The difficulty people been having here as of late is bounced checks. Unless there's threads here that I'm missing, as might as well be possible.

ok depends on your bank. it was 45 days for my bank which is crazy. i took it to my other bank a bigger bank and it was 15 days. I have perfect history with my banks and enough cash to cover it if it bounces. They told me 90 percent of their checks from canada bounce or are fake. Now if you are withdrawing from betjam asked them to send you a withdraw from their jamaican bank. if you do that then the bank will come from BkofAma and it will be make it easier for you to deposit.

I have BkofAma and just deposited a check from the country you listed, last week.

For one thing.. why dont u just deposit it directly with the ATM feature... sooo easy... instead of dealing with questions from bank teller (whihc 99% of them dont do... )

I deposited the check Wednesday night and its already listed as "Cleared"...


So, yes there is nothing to worry about

don't go into teller when you make a deposit... ATM deposit process is faster for foreign checks... and if you can, instead of withdraw the fund by "check" option, do it with "bank wire" option. Just a lot faster.

i also recommend just sticking it in the atm and avoid all questions.

never had one problem with jamaica check being deposited into my BkofAma acct. deposit it at the atm

Learn to read the routing #s on the check, and you will be able to tell where its payable from, it doesnt make any difference what country the check is written from, its all about where the funds are payable from.

Once you deposit it once you are all set. When you do it again the system will know it's good and hold time will be a lot shorter.
