Is the "60 day hold bonuses" really worth it?
I just was looking at a few books tonight that are currently offering nice bonuses, but they require a 60 day hold on your funds before you can withdraw it.

I for one don't mind having my money tied up for 2 months at all if I know it's a solid book and I'm getting a 100% bonus. However, I'm curious to hear what you guys feel is a fair bonus to make it worth your while to agree to these types of terms (60 day hold).

Depends entirely on bet limits IMO and what they offer. If SIA had a 60 day hold, I'd care less. If Pinny had a 60 day hold with low limits, I'd insta pass.

FWIW I take some 90 holds on a routine basis because my BR is at the point where my marginal utility is suited by it. The site in question also has a niche for me.. I've probably said too much, but whatever. Lurkers enjoy.

To take a hold of that length you need a large bankroll and other book options, otherwise you are playing with fire if you need access to the money. Additionally if you scalp part of the rollover, and your money ends up in the 60 day hold book, a large roll at other books is a necessity. If you have a large roll than you probably won't be affected in the slightest by the hold.

To be honest I am not all that interested in bonuses. With processing issues as it is these days, I am not all that comfortable loading up with less than premium books strictly to take advantage of a juicy promotion or bonus. When Neteller was around, you at least could pop in and out and be pretty sure to be paid once you've completed rollovers, now you have the increased withdrawal times, lots more slow paying shops etc.

It depends Dan. Is the hold only on the deposit and bonus, or is it on the winnings too? some books will allow you to withdraw the winnings after a 2x roll over (justbet).

Actually (contrary to cobra) I found the holds to be more valuable when I had a smaller roll since it would take me almost 60 days to get through the roll over so it didn't matter since I was betting very small amounts. Now that I have a bigger roll I can hit the roll over in a week so I'm not interested in tieing up money unless I can withdraw the winnings.

As 20four says, at books like JB it´s ok.
But if i cannot withdraw winnings, i´d pass.

Thats the problem Thremp... You didn't enough.

You now have me intrigued by the vague answer, so I guess I have to go do some searching to find which book you are referring too.

Players have been calling asking about the book. Apparently they are offering 100% free play over 2k with the 60 days.

Actually JustBet was the book that inspired me to start this topic 24/7. However after reading Thremp's post above, I'm curious which book he was referring to in his comments.

What other solid books that you know of that have the 60-90 hold, and what are the bonuses they offer?

The only book I played at with a hold is justbet. They have paid me out my winnings and I have honoured the holds. I currently have no money there since their lines are very basic. I use them primarily for football.

I won 5K in a contest there with a 5x roll and was paid out completely after rolling it over. My complaint with justbet is the $750/week to moneybookers max. Plus they service charge you $5 for each withdrawal after that. They used to have a $2,500/week max then charge after that. I know $5 is nothing these days (I pay a lot worse) but it took me forever once football was over to clear my account which was at 7K.

They only have A $500 max bet which when your rolling over 25K takes a long time. I think it took me just over 2 months to roll over my contest winnings.

They have always paid me out any withdrawal within 30 hours to moneybookers. I think I cannot get any more bonus's off them but I will certainly re up next football season if nothing else but for their contest.

I have never had an issue with grading their or the time it takes to grade. Late games do get graded next morning and I believe their customer service stops after half time of the last game. Their lines do come up late and are taking down pretty much at the game time not game start.

Youwager I believe still has a 60 day hold on your funds as well. That would be another book I'd feel comfortable leaving my funds in if the bonus was was worth it.
