    License Picture/Number
Why would a book (5dimes) need my license picture and license number? I understand the need for an ID, but I blacked out the picture and number for privacy concerns. They do not need to know what I look like? I do not trust what the books may do with all this personal information in the future. It might come back to haunt someone.

    just my thoughts

    anyone else agree?

Did they accept it with the pic and number blacked out?

        Ah, right. Got it.

I think a lot of players don't mind sending their full DL to anonymous people in Costa Rica, but it is an issue for me -- always concerned about this type of stuff.

Books tend to accept different amounts of blacked out info, for example I've sent my DL with the number blacked out and some books accept it, while another refused it. I don't have my social security number on my DL either, but some people do and I sure as hell ain't giving unknown folks the soc sec # along with DL, credit card, utility bills, etc.

5dimes would not accept a blacked out picture and license number. I want to get a payout, so I guess i am sending them the full frontal

I just do not understand the reason it is necessary. Next they will want a DNA sample.

I'm actually surprised there haven't been stories of identity theft related to sending offshore books ID docs.

                  Knock on wood.

                        I am too.

But, to the OP: What exactly would one do with a drivers license #?

I'm a little concerned with giving this stuff out, too !

A utility bill should be enough.

Certain countries keep a blacklist of players if you win a certain amount from a book then they will boot you and give all the companies in that country your info.

I block out everything except last 4 on everything as far as account #'s, ID's, etc, etc.

Picture isn't a big deal, they can't steal your identity with just a pic. Unless they get plastic surgery or find your evil twin but even then, they would need all the other info anyways.

Show last 4 you'll be fine.
