Any good strategies for having limits lifted?
I'm by no means a large bettor in comparison to some and I'm definitely not claiming to be a 90% winner or something silly like that. But one of my Aussie books has now limited me on my 2nd sport and I'm hoping when I call tomorrow I'll have some sort of angle to get them to at least raise the limits a bit.

First they nailed me on college football about a month ago and limited me to $88 per bet. Now today it's NBA team totals. They capped me at $65 and when I called them to make sure it wasn't a mistake they told me to call back tomorrow to talk to an accounts supervisor. It's not like I'm slamming them for thousands each bet. I've just been spending more time studying team totals than anything else lately and have been doing ok I guess.

Am I screwed? At this point I'd tell them just to piss off but they're the only book here who offer team totals and special pick your own lines on sports. Thanks in advance for any help.

You will just be fobbed off with a reference to their terms and conditions which allow them to do virtually whatever they like. I'm guessing you are referring to IAS by the amounts you mention, but unfortunately it's the way they are all heading these days.
Get an account at Pinnacle - you'll get better odds most of the time anyway,

Shari, I've never actually heard of a book reversing their decision on this and can't imagine that it is going to happen in your case, but good luck regardless.....

From looking through the forum it looks like you're right. Now I totally understand why people get pissed about this at first. When they limited me with football I just laughed because I rarely bet it and really just got lucky with a succession of plays. Now though I have to go through the hassle of funding and verifying a new account offshore. I feel sorry for those who bet large amounts and do this for a living. Must be a total pain in the butt.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Looks like I'm just screwed.

If speaking to a supervisor doesn't work there is no way to get this done. Change books.

Limits almost never reversed, just drop the book and move on.

You could try betting parlays/accumulators, have had limits increased at one UK book by doing this. Guess it's whether you consider it's worth almost certainly throwing money away to try getting back to sensible wager limits. However, I'd echo the other option, use Pinnacle, their odds and limits are far superior to any other book in existence.

Probably the best bet would be an exchange. That way you won't have to worry about limits. Don't think there are to many books that will lift limits.Has never happened with the ones that have limited me.

Kinda sucks but there are lots of books out there that are good

They limit for a reason: they've identified you as unprofitable. Lose lots of money to them and that can be changed.

Mission was unsuccessful unfortunately. What a joke. They didn't even have the decency to contact me to let me know when they limited me - I had to play around with numbers until I found the amount the online system would accept - and now they just said they were reviewing accounts and determined this was an 'appropriate betting range' for me. In all fairness though they did offer me a freeplay on an Aussie sport I know nothing about.

Thanks again everyone. Guess it's time to give the book up for good.

CBM, Youwin (not very much but a little) and betway have done it for me. I just asked. I asked BFC to lift the extreme limits on my account as well and they said they would do it for me... but I never got around to redepositing there.
