They can be competitive because of two reasons:

a) They have a really high volume so that they can operate with a lower profit margin and

b) They have a good software which always adapt the odds (and the limits per bet) immediately according to the money placed on the different outcomes of a betting event. This works the better the more money is placed per betting event.
