Last week I had a serious problem with live bets at Betathome.
I have been discussing this issue directly with them but they have no intention to rectify what has happened.
I would like to tell my experience to everyone to put in evidence the modus operandi of this company.
I have screenshots of every status of my bets and all movements of my betting account.
The event in question was Finland - San Marino (Euroqualiyfing, 17 November).
They only offered bets on this game for about 10 minutes (from 7’ to 17’ of the first half).
My bets were (current result was 0-0):
Under 3.5 at 2.80 (First Half 10')
Under 4.5 at 1.85 (First Half 11')
My bets were placed at higher prices than the another bookmakers. For this reason I was worried that they might cancel my bets. I was with a lot of attention to the possibility of seeing void bets.
At the end of the first half the result was 1-0. During the half time I received an email that says my bets have been canceled (odd 1.0). Indeed my stakes were returned to my betting account.
Since I was very aware of this situation, I assumed that the prices were wrong and i didn’t contact them asking why. At that point my odds were pretty good but I assumed that they canceled my bets.
For this reason at half time I placed other bets at “Under 3,5” in another company, as this was my intention in the event. Obviously if Bet-At-Home had not canceled my bets on half time I never would have made these bets on the other operator.
Finally the game finished 8-0. Approximately 10 minutes after the game was over they changed the status of my bets. My bets were changed from "Void" to "Lost." Logically I can’t accept this situation. They are canceling the bets only if it is convenient for them.
In summary:
- I placed my bets at 10 'First Half
- At half time they cancel my bets (Current result was 1-0)
- 10 minutes after match was finished they changed status of my bet from "Void" to "lost." (when they know that final result is 8-0).
I am very upset with this situation. I feel I've been scammed. I'm pretty sure that if I had won my bet these have remained void.
They say it was a system error but logically I can´t believe this. They acted with advantage. If my bets were winners they can say "wrong price, technical problem". If my bets was lost they can say "System error canceled bets, was a mistake."
I can not accept this situation. I think I've been a good customer for them, I have made over a thousand bets. I keep expecting a correction of this to show me that I was not cheated.
