#5how is the offer on the other side determined, say in hockey, the best is montreal minus 150 and toronto plus152, and i make an offer montreal minus148, does the computer determine what the underdog price is or will the person accepting the offerOriginally posted by wrongturnIf your offer is the best in the market, expect it to be accepted quickly.

#6i think my example is backwards, still confused, i would have to offer a better price on toronto to get people to take my montreal action , correctComment -

#7Basically, Matchbook will automatically convert your offer to an opposite offer on the other side. So if you offer montreal -148, matchbook will convert this to toronto +148 and it will appear in the market queue. Someone will then have to accept toronto +148 for your montreal -148 bet to be filled.Comment -

#10Not always.. I have been queuing a lot on NBA and NHL, not to mention NCAA Basketball. I can go maybe 5 points higher than what the best bookie offers and still no action for hours. This is not early prices either but maybe 4-5-6 hours before the match. The only offers that are up are odds that are quite outrageous and not even a degenerate would take it.Originally posted by wrongturnIf your offer is the best in the market, expect it to be accepted quickly.
The last two days I have had two queued offers like this and they have not been taken until the line actually moves so that my offer is like 10-15 pts higher than the line.
Matchbook is not for traders except maybe on some NFL matches. So many of the clients are sharp so you won't be able to get a $500 offer matched unless your offer is very out of line - or if it is close to kick off. I have a decent balance there and have been considering taking some of it out... I probably won't though because they are still good sometimes.Comment -
