Worried about 5Dimes

I got a check today from 5Dimes for 3000, went to cash it at ****** who was the bank of 5Dimes, and there was only 100.00 in the account, and no deposit in the pipeline.

they told you the balance of the 5dimes account? that person needs to be fired. its not your account and they have no right to tell someone other then the owner of the account the balance. all they are allowed to say is "the funds aren't available at this point in time" and for sure not going to tell you if they have a deposit coming in.

and this is highly doubtful with all the checks that 5dimes has outstanding that their balance is $100

I used to work at a bank, so here is the story...
They probably have a floating line of credit like most lawyers do for example or large companies for payroll reasons.
Lots of money comes in and out of the account and there is no reason to keep it in the account itself.
And yes, who ever told you that needs to be fired.

************** so whatever bank you went to either has the wrong information or the accounts have been changed.It isnt strange for 5dimes to keep $100 in their and then transfer $100000 into the bank to cover outstanding checks.
