    Pinnacle blocked me from deposits
    Hey guys,

Just wanted to get your opinion on something strange imo. Now before I get into my little rant, I just want to say Pinnacle is the best book imo out there and this little incident I'm having with them does not really change my opinion of them whatsoever.

So, I made a deposit via ********** of $400 CDN to Pinnacle last week. My account is in CDN dollars and ********** debited my bank account even though I had $3000 USD in my ********** USD balance. For some stupid reason, I forgot to transfer funds in between my savings-chequing account and had only $395 left in my bank account - chequing and my ********** withdrawal bounced.

Immediately upon noticing that, which at this point costed me $40 in NSF fees already, I contacted **********, advised them of the situation, and told them if there was a way to pay off the $400 using my USD balance. They said they can't do anything until they get the notification that my deposit bounced.

In the meantime, I ran my Pinnacle account from $400 to about $1800 in 4 days. On the 5th day, I get an email from ********** that my deposit bounced (expected) and my account is BLOCKED until I pay within 30 days (slightly unexpected since I already contacted them and had USD money in my account). Then, I log in to my Pinnacle account and they took all my money and erased my balance to zero. At first I was confused then I read the cashier FAQ and I understood that any deposit that fails to clear will result in all winnings being void.

However, this is where my confusion/frustration/inability to understand kicks in. Pinnaclesports informed me in addition to all my winnings being void, that I can NEVER deposit using ********** or CREDIT CARDS EVER AGAIN because their policy states that once a deposit is returned for whatever reason, client is no longer able to deposit using that option. Basically I am banned for life from depositing using those 2 options for 1 stupid unintentional mistake I made. That mistake already costed me about $1100 CDN and I FULLY learned my lesson. What bugs me is that this policy of theirs cannot be found on their website.

Has anyone else ever had that situation with I dunno Moneybookers, Click to Pay, or another deposit method with Pinnacle or any book, and subsequently blocked from depositing ever again using that option??? Keep in mind I have been with Pinnacle for years and have deposited well over 100K and withdrew well over 100k as well. I am so pissed off at myself right now because of literally $4 short in my chequing account a week ago, it has costed me $1100 AND my ability to deposit via ********** and credit card to my favorite book up to this point

yes, I've heard of them doing that before
it does seem extremely harsh both on account of denying you winnings you didn't need the deposit to have made (?) and the lifetime ban on using credit cards
perhaps SBR has already been through this issue with Pinnacle but I'd be putting in a complaint to see if there is any way they can help out
I don't think that could happen using Moneybookers or Neteller as you'd have to have funds in your account with them before making the deposit

I have now resorted to using Interbook transfer as my option to fund my Pinnacle account. Its cheaper than Moneybookers which was my other option left.

I wouldn't even complain about the lifetime ban if Pinnacle had this policy in writing but since you can only email their CSD and can't call, there seems to be communication barrier from time to time. I asked on three different emails if they could tell me where that policy is stated and I get the same reply "We can close any account due to NSF deposits but we chose to limit your deposit options instead". If only Pinny didn't offer such good odds and great liquidity
