First of all, I realize that my password and account numbers are my responsibility, and that there's most likely nothing that can be done for me. Nonetheless, I want to pass this on. Somehow, someone got my account numbers and passwords for 5Dimes, Diamond Sports and Matchbook. Since I live with my wife and no one else at home sees my computer, it couldn't have been from my home computer directly. Could I have been keylogged or remotely controlled? Maybe, although I have a mac and am pretty careful about what I download, and don't chat much. But that's not impossible. It could also have been a friend's computer that was hacked, since I sent him the information about those accounts to play my plays for me when I was out of town.
Anyway, I stupidly had the same password for all three accounts, and for my mail too. So someone placed bets on an account, and transferred the money to poker and eventually himself on one of those three sites when he won. The funny thing is when he lost, he transferred the money back to my account, so when I just checked my balances, I didn't see the plays. (Don't ask me why, but that's what happened). I finally figured out that I had been hacked on Diamond, and that 2K was gone. I got them to close the account to investigate, and change the password. But I didn't realize the hacker had had my other two accounts too. The next day he bet my entire 3,200 on 5 Dimes on Tampa Bay.
I've tried to talk to the security people at the sites, but it seems really hard for them to take me seriously. I put in a request for help at SBR. I realize that since the better had my account and password, my money is likely gone. But I'd really like them to at least track the transfers and find out where they went, so they can at least hopefully catch the person who did it. I've changed the passwords on my accounts and mail account, but can't 100% be sure I'm still not keylogged, although I tried to check and I don't think I am.
