    5Dimes Bounces Checks
Over the last week 50+ checks have gone out that wont be paid FYI!

Here are the details from Moe in the affiliate Department..

Moe: Thanks for holding, Ryan. It looks like there was an issue coming from accounting department, i am going to copy/paste what they just told me, i really apologize about this, Sir....
Moe: Last week we were informed by our check issuer that they had sent a complete batch of 50 checks that were not going to be cleared by any bank, we did not informed our customers because we didn’t have a list of customers that were going to receive a bad check.
Moe: What we need you to do Sir is to provide us with a Print out, Image or copy of the check, this can be requested to your bank, this Image must have the front and back of the check stamped by your bank saying NOT eligible for clearing, once you send this to us we will forward it to our Accounting Department and must probably in 24 hours the money will be credited back to your 5Dimes account.

Hope they recover from this, overall a good book but not cool to see this happen.

I wonder if this is the same "Moe" that stole my money right out of my account at Sportbet about 2 years ago.

List of books bouncing checks keeps growing. This seems to be happening often since football started. I wonder why?

its the check issuer's fault not 5dimes. granted that reflects 5dimes, but no downgrade from this.

Yea I wouldnt downgrade them yet however, I believe 5dimes should have contacted these players... Nothing worse than finding out the hard way. Not for nothing but what kind of accounting dept doesnt keep a list?

Do the books compensate players who incur fees for the bounced checks? Seems to me they are responsible for any and all costs related to the problem checks.

Some books will. I haven't heard about 5 Dimes reimbursing anyone for fees, but then again I hadn't heard of them bouncing checks before.

                    This.

Before their recent processor issues, they were sending checks as fast as any book on the planet without a single problem. As soon as they get a new processor in place, everything will be fine. This situation in no way reflects 5Dimes' financial stability or integrity in wanting to pay its players.

Several other books have been bouncing checks as well lately. Just a matter of time until it's fixed.

                        checks

Never had a problem with them before... As I understand they have to jump through many hoops to find untracable accounts to send their payments...
Im sure they will rectify the problem... for now i wouldnt be concerned... if there is a continued pattern of customers not getting paid over a 4-6 week period then it will be a issue...

does anyone know if the instant transfers would be affected by this? (i.e. the instant deposit electronic payments that automatically get deposited in your bank account within a few days - not wires)

I just received a check yesterday, but haven't cashed it yet.

Should I contact 5 dimes? I wonder if they know which checks will bounce, and if I should even bother cashing my check.

There's no downside, of course you should contact them. If they know, they'll be able to tell you whether to cash it or not.

Thanks. That's what I was wondering, if they'd know if the check would bounce or not.
