    Sportsbook.com confiscates $10,000, cites free-play bonus abuse

Sportsbook.com (SBR rating D-) confiscates $10,000, cites free-play bonus abuse.

    Player:
Hello…..I need help with a sportsbook complaint. I had around $10,000 at 6 different sportsbooks within the sportsbook.com group. They said they froze my accounts for “free bet” abuse and seized all funds…..I only made $200 - $300 off of freebets over the last two years….and they took $10,000. I can see if they wanted to take the $200-$300, but 10K? Is there anything that can be done?

Sportsbook.com is claiming the use of bonuses at multiple Sportsbook.com-managed books is "bonus fraud" and reason to confiscate winnings. A second player has submitted a claim to SBR for $50,000 . The player was told $50,000 would not be paid because he circumvented limits on some of his wagers by using affiliated sportsbooks to place the same bets. The same player was also debited over $30,000 when Sportsbook.com scammed multiple users, stealing parlay winnings.

    Player:
I have always used my own name, address, email, ************, etc. It was
plain who I was at all times. I don't see how I should be expected to keep track of which books are allowed and which aren't, especially if that information isn't expressed anywhere.
Sportsbook.com and sister Jazette books do not have rules against using multiple brands and utilizing their promotions. It is often encouraged through the sportsbook sales departments which market each website as an independent sportsbook. Sportsbook.com states that it will adress these reports in detail.

Well DUUUUHHHH.. I asked this very question just a couple of weeks ago... I even knew at that point that having sister accounts to exceed limits NOT TO MENTION abusing bonuses was, at the very least, frowned upon if not in the T & A...

I was going to use Linesmaker and Sportsbook to circumvent props limits since they are not that high but I knew they were sister sites and would not like it so I didn't do it... What if I didn't know they were sister books and tried to do it thinking I was slick..?

Why do you think I asked for a list of alllllll the Jazzette's books a couple of weeks ago..?

Some people need common sense in this world...

BTW BigBDan why haven't you made a thread like this for the BOL dispute..? I know it's common to make a thread like this but I haven't seen one for BOL yet..? Just wondering why....

Always convenient when you can turn an alleged $200 bonus scam into a 10K windfall. When are we going to see an ad campaign that attends the general public to what sportsbook.com really is? And please include names, personal info, and pictures of these corrupt owners.

This is worse than the same-game parlay ripoff by SB recently. They are looking for any excuse to steal. What idiot would support them in this blatant larceny?

Yes, this is grand larceny. Their same-game parlay theft was as well. This outift is run by a bunch of criminal thugs.

I am not defending sportsbook as much as I am arguing how you guys react inconsistantly...

You are spending days trying to figure out if it's even possible for someone to use 44 computers to beat BOL and bet sizes yada yada yada...

In this case where the possibility of bonus abuse is clear your attitude is INSTANTLY and no matter what... sportsbook is wrong...

I called this exact situation TWO WEEKS AGO and asked the same question... Is this rocket science to you both ? Unless your IQ is ZERO, you have ZERO experience in online gambling, or your morality is ZERO this was an easy one to call...

Like I said I sure hope you guys don't do jury duty...

Thwy used to allow multiple accounts and encourage them over their affiliated sites, Even to the point of cross marketing them. They probably still do.

They are creating ways to cheat players, new ways, creative ways. Its almost comical. What will be the next sportsbook.com scam? We should run a contest.

If the case involves SB.com, I think you will need to be excused too. Seriously, what does BOL have to do with this? For sake of argument, if BOL is shown to steal then it's okay for SB to steal? You and I have been down this path before, but I really don't get your logic?

I'm not going to wait for someone to proove beyond a reasonable doubt that sportsbook.com is bad. I'm going to rule them bad and move on.

Besides, the jury has already ruled in this case. The ruling according to the jury, SBR, is that the rules do not prohibit multiple bonus across sportsbooks, so confiscating player balances is wrong.

If you want to keep me off the jury because I rely on other juries, that's fine with me.

Put me down for abuse of the free juice Saturday college football game. I could always catch them before a line change and have no juice on a favorable line for a dime or two. Time to steal from these people next.

I don't see what all the fuse is about. Sportsbook.com is trying to cut costs because of a business down swing like any other business. First cost to be cut....PAYING PLAYERS!!!!

I still get emails weekly from hollywood and sportsbook.com telling me they put money in my account and to come play. I've tried being removed from their lists multiple times, it never stops. I haven't played at either book in years.

Oh come on John stop bullsh*tting... You know it's fine to have accounts at Linesmaker, Sportsbook and all the others.. I have four and they know about them all... It is not wrong to have them but IT IS WRONG TO let's say use one to bet one side of a no juice game and then the other to bet the other side to bonus whore or abuse free bets... It would not surprise me if HHog was/is doing exactly that...

My point to Louis HHog and others is simple... Don't act stupid... You know damn well this type of abuse can be done and with their reload bonus (for some) a lot can be made... HAS ANYONE even assumed if this can be going on in this case..? If this were BOL or another book that is the FIRST thing you would have assumed...

Don't scew this HHog.. You know it's not about sportsbook or BOL but about how inconsistant the reaction is between the two... It's clear as day!!!

Like I said though I know SBR has to eat too... Everytime something like this comes out I wonder how many people take all the money out of that book and click on those banners above and join those books..then lose money betting...

    I have two questions...
A.. Is it frowned upon to have an "active" account at every sister site..?
B.. If not then is it frowned upon to add to your bet past the limit using the sister site..? I would think this is like having multiple accounts...

I also think that SB will check into correlated if bets, in fact I'll be emailing such a suggestion to them. PM me your account # there if you're innocent, you hypocrite. Time to start drawing down.

Get hooked on phonics... TWO WEEKS AGO I said they don't offer ANY if bets for halfs anymore and limited IF bets in other cases...

I am not HHog and will not cry about it...

By the way you'll be happy to know I got off my as* and faxed my sh*t in... It was cleared but I asked them to put it back in my account... I lost it all on a second half bet but I won almost what I lost at linesmaker, sister site, the next day on a quarter bet and requested a payout... I never got a pay out from Linesmaker before but I imagine it will be fine...

At most decent books as long as you don't go "Hoggin'" ...you have nothing to worry about...

They don't offer correlated ifs anymore because of the "terrible" people that "abused" them, yourself included. Perhaps they need to go back a few months or years to catch you.

Yet you take a self-righteous position against others that bet correlated parlays, or "abused" the $10 free bet. How consistent are you---or as long as you got away with it there's no foul?

Slow pay is correct about 3-4 weeks but to say high risk JJ is complete bullsh*t!!! I have read about the Correlated Parlays and as most know hardly any other book offers them in the same game so they may be just following along... I do Correlated If Bets there in the same game and have won after the parlay thing happened... So far the only thing I don't like is they don't give me my auto 10% re up at POnly like they used to... You guys are complaining about nickle dimer sh*t... How on earth is D rating to high now but OBVIOUSLY we can't compare them to Cascade... IF SBoo is very over rated at D but can't compare them to Cascade.. what the hell is Cascade a FFFFFFFFFF------------? Well there is no such thing... You guys are talking impulsively and inaccurately...

Unfortunately, SBR won't "F" SB until they screw everybody. SB will have to default or become a deposit only book like Cascade--plus be given an extention to next FB season, in case they have a change of heart, before an F would even be considered. To their credit, SBR was ahead of the curve on SB until the past few months, now they're waiting for the inevitable--and then the F will come. At D- now, SB has nothing to lose, as long as they send out checks to people they feel like (including their spokesperson, Shams).

It always amazes me to think that a book as big as Sportsbook.com will use their time and energy trying to figure out how to scam players. What sportsbook owner in their right mind would think of the correlated parlay scam? Does he just not have anything else on his mind?

These cheats expose their mind set. To them it is exciting to move in and cheat some players. Its a power trip.

Its also a sign. Any owner that will sit around trying to figure out ways to cheat players is just a step away from his ultimate power trip; running off with everyones money.

    SBRJohn,

I don't understand it, they have the potential to make a ton of money and they are throwing it away by cheating players that win. They have the ultimate website and they are just blowing it. It is just so sad to see such potential ruined by these guys.

I'm pointing the finger at YOU DIPSH*T!!! If you remember I TOLD YOU to call them before placing your correlated parlay that you placed even after knowing about this... You never commented on my suggestion to call but just said if their software takes it then oh well... I called EVEN THOUGH at that time the software was still taking IF BETS for halftimes...

Are you both f*ckin' stupid??? I said I CALLED THEIR CS AND ASKED THEM IF IT WAS OK TO PLACE CORRLEATED IF BETS... THEY SAID YES IT WAS!!!

    HOW AM I A HYPOCRITE???

They also said it was okay to have accounts at sister books, and now they are stealing money from those people. Seems like SB is making up the rules as they go along. You won't get it until they steal your money; you're just too self-absorbed. If they want your money, they will take it.

The brief explanation we received today was that the player had over $10,000 in bonuses through the life of the accounts and they were taking that back before they kicked him out. They quote this rule, which of course, does not apply: "Invalid or unearned bonuses and winnings may be deducted at anytime."

It's important to point out each time this is discussed that Sportsbook.com solicits players with these bonuses, gives automatic reloads and allows the same players to use different accounts and their promotions... Selective Theft.

Last year they paid thousands of dollars after our visit to players they stole from. It didn't take long for them to give up on running a straight business.

The explanation for the other player is likely along the same lines but they haven't addressed anything beyond the co-parlays.
