All of these books always mention and promote parlays in their
mailings and print advertising. Would suck for some recreational
player to hit a big one at one of the lower rated books and then
have to battle it out to get paid.

yeah... i seen how somebody would win a descent parlay and when they would try to get paid the book would only give them something like 35% of the winnings and make them leave the rest in for a certain period of time.

Not a nfl parlay, but some guy earlier this year posted that he won a $200k parlay. The bookie had a cap of max $150k though so he did not get it all. From what I remember he could only withdraw in chunks of like $1500 per week or something (and had to pay a fee on the withdrawals?).
