MGM Grand fire of 1980 (Now Bally's)
With the fire this morning at the Monte Carlo here in Las Vegas. I thought I would show the fire that changed the way casinos are built with fire systems so a MGM fire couldn't happen again. Making the fire codes strict for buildings built in Las Vegas, and probably in the United States.
This was the second-largest life-loss hotel fire in U.S. history, and the biggest disaster in Nevada history.
This didn't happen at the new MGM Grand that everyone here probably knows that is on Tropicana, but was at what we now know has Bally's Las Vegas on Flamingo.
