    What American site to join
I'm from Scotland, however i'm in America at the minute and have an American bank account and wanted to sign up to one of the American betting sites for betting on U.S. sports. Should i have any trouble joining one with British details, like my address, but a U.S. bank card?

Most of the decent bookmakers you are familiar with from the UK and europe will not take your bets. It does not help that you are not an american citizen. As long as you are inside the US, they will not take your bets.

For betting on US spots I would suggest you sign up to one of the bookies with a banner here. There are different advantages to all of them. If you want a site that looks more like the typical euro bookie, then I would suggest sportsinteraction.

Matchbook is an exchange which is at least as good as BetFair for US sports
Not sure about how best to fund them
If you have a Moneybookers account not sure if you will be able to use it from the US to fund them
Perhaps a UK credit card or direct debit from a UK bank but think you will have trouble with any US bank or their cards.

Matchbook is one of the best, you can deposit with them via instant deposit just using your ABA and checking account number.

fivedimes.com is great but you might have some difficulty with the British info, give them a US one and you should be OK, they are going to ask for a drivers license FL
