Can any one tell me the best phone to get for support of matchbook/betmania/ and really all other books. I am looking into them all and need to make a decision.
Thanks

Not yet but as soon as it is updated to software version 2.2 it will. I think the update is due within a few weeks.

what about betmania? Does the site load and are you able to place a wager?

No experience with Betmania but 2.2 software on android phones has adobe flash and can basically view any website you can view on a desktop.
I own an HTC EVO 4G running 2.2 and books that I access and use with it are 5dimes, bookmaker, matchbook, betjamaica, the greek, betonline, and justbet. I have not come across a book I can not access since upgrading to 2.2.

thanks bud for your responses. I am going to go to verizon now. And get the Droid X most likely. Are you saying that if this phone has 2.1, I will be able to get 2.2 by a simple upgrade? It is the operating system, not the phone?
Thanks.

Yes but the 2.2 update has not been released on the Droid X yet but is coming soon and will be downloaded straight onto the phone. 2.2 is the OS also known as FROYO.

Iphone is pretty good if you want to pay $20 extra a month more for AT&T's overpriced service and have a cap on your unlimited data plan, how do you put a cap on "unlimited" data???? wouldn't that be "limited" data???
Also with 2.2 you will have adobe flash on your phone so unlike iphone you will be able to watch live streams of games from sites like ESPN3 and MLB.com. on a 4.3" screen.
Droid X is a sweet phone!

I just ordered my Droid X after doing extensive research... can't wait to get it! Seems like the perfect phone for sportsbetting/watching sports. 4.3" screen and it's 720p!
