This is why all of these fuken books log you off every 2 minutes. It is annoying as hell the books are so afraid of people chasing steam against them that they only want you to be logged in for 2 minutes. Absolutely a joke that a book would offer live betting, auto log you off every 2 minutes and than cry because you keep refreshing the page.

They don't want you scraping their site with automatic tools, if you refresh enough it may look like you have a bot pulling their lines. Not sure why anyone would want them.

Pinnacle does the same thing. It has nothing to do with winning or losing.

I can understand the position on regular lines, but it does cause a problem in live events - they should probably come up with a separate interface for those, but software investment seems very low offshore compared to Euro books.

Out of curiosity how often do you refresh on commercial break? For me I'd estimate anywhere from 2min -10 max a break.

Sometimes with Bodog. They have the "live" lines up, 1 second, then have a red line thru them the next. So you need to constantly refresh the page. Never got a message like this, or even logged out.

Sounds ridiculous to me.

i found this out because they disabled my log on, and told me this in a live chat a few min ago, with a strict warning that i would be permanently 'banned' from accessing them online if I 'screen scrape' again!

same thing happen to me at 5dimes, 2 nights ago. their live lines are usually up late in the commerical break. you have to keep refreshing to get the line as soon as it is out to get in the bet before it is removed because the commerical is over. also they change their live lines often so you have to refresh to get the right line . their automatic refresh is so slow for the amount of thime you have to get in your bet. i was told i refreshed 100 times in an hour. was also told 60 times an hour would be ok. i also started a thread on this when it happened(i tought the site was down -----'5DIMES DOWN?'). when everyone else said they could get in i called. it is live betting, why the #$%# should anyone care how many times anyone refreshs the screeen. where is tony - explain the reasoning behind this. make 5dimes refresh every 5 or 10 seconds instead of 30 or 45 seconds. plus the refresh screen takes so long that if you do not refresh you will not have enogh time to bet between commericals. i also am down thousands at 5dimes and i get this shit from them.

5 dimes live betting is antiquated, only use euro books to do live betting as their software platforms are superior.

Tony has zero clue how to run a sportsbook and I mean zero clue.

He is scared to talk to anyone on phone too.

Screen scraping ties up bandwidth that is why they do not like it.

I've had this problem before as well with other sites. With some of these live betting sites you only have the commercial breaks to bet so it's hard to not refresh the lines constantly because you want to see if the line is changing because sometimes the line changes alot during the commercial break. If you talk to 5dimes I am sure they will put your account back to normal. Just explain to them that you were refreshing to get the best line.

I got the same message from 5 dimes....it's ridiculous. I am NOT UP there by any ridiculous amount of money. The manager I spoke with was very rude and said that their lines AUTOMATICALLY UPDATE, which they dont obviously, and I am not allowed to refresh the page! Even in LIVE betting! This is absolute bullcrap!
