I made it real clear a year or so ago when I signed up that email was much more convenient for us both, and i actually return emails, versus phone calls which I will never return. They haven't called me once since I asked nicely, you should try it!

I usually ask for either credit or a 50% bonus. The credit request usually confuses the caller. If the book is legit and wants to give me 50% I'll usually send in a deposit.

I've had books temporarily suspend my account because I didn't answer a phone call to verify my information after depositing. In one case (Sportbet, prior to them being taken over by 5Dimes), the book had already verified my info over the phone, I reloaded 4 or 5 months after opening the account, and the book called me a few hours after I made my deposit. I didn't answer the phone and my account was immediately suspended until I called them back and they explained that since it "had been a while since I'd deposited" they needed to verify my phone number and they'd have to call me back and have me answer the phone in order to reopen my account.

Oddly enough, Sportbet never once cold called me with a bonus offer so I'm not sure why they needed my number that badly.

I just took advice from this forum and never put in my real number. I receive occasional emails from various books which isn't annoying obv. It was funny though once I was killing Wagerchief at bases and was asked to "just cash out" from the head honcho (Sean's boss, can't remember his name). The next week I receive an email from them saying to comeback, we have this bonus and that bonus etc.

I am still confused as to what it was all about.

This is exactly my case - except it was not Derek, but another guy. No problem since then - almost a year ago.
