    BetGun cancels bet
Just received an email (before event has taken place) from BetGun saying:

    "Your slip was canceled

    Cancellation reason:
    wrong specified odd"

Is this normal? The odds were 1.9, most other prices were about 1.75 at the time of the bet.

I checked their T&C, it says:

    "8.1
betgun.com has right to cancel an event in case of:
    - decision, that the event was wrongly predicted by betgun.com"

    Is this standard?

Usually the odds are off by a lot when they get cancelled. The real question is why are you playing at a D+ book.

      Yes.

At the odds that you received you had just over a 9% edge on the actual line.

Generally if you have more than a 7% edge on a bet where the line differs greatly from all other books line it is obvious the book made an error and it is an industry standard rule that they can cancel the wager. I consider this fair because you I am sure were aware that you were betting a line at -111 when every other shop had it at -133 so you likely knew this was a bad line.

I usually will not bet lines that are this far off because it is a good way to piss the book off if they think you are taking shots at them and could lead to getting limits cut or getting banned.

So chasing a bad line isn“t the way to go. Seems the books make up the rules as they go.

          OK thanks.

I've been betting lines this far off-market (at a bunch of different books) for a while and haven't had a bet cancelled yet hence my question.

The real question is why are you playing at a D+ book.
Because their lines are always off. They had an average rating at bookmakersreview.com and there wasn't too much recent bad stuff on SBR so thought it was worth the risk.
