If you haven't had your limits cut at CRIS then you're not trying hard enough.

I have to agree that Matchbook doesn't penalize winning... as you're taking other bettors money, not the books. But Matchbook may only have a few K on each game (depending on what you're looking for, sometimes less)

I want to be able to bet the max at each book on college basketball totals. Only problem is that the limits are 1k everywhere so I need to find a ton of books where I can bet max at each.

You'll be lucky to find 5 books that won't eventually cut your limits if you kill them on CBK totals.

Good luck. The lines will move and cbb totals usually have a much smaller max bet than any other wager.

Just my opinion, but you must be new to this otherwise you wouldn't be asking such a question. Good luck this season.

You will not find 10 books that will not cut your limits unless you follow sharpcat's advice. As you spread your action around, some books you win at and others you will lose at. It will all balance out hopefully, although I will admit I have won nearly every bet at one particular book and thought I was going to get my limits cut. I pulled out $6,000 of it in one month and put the book on the back burner and then they sent me a reload bonus. I thought wow, I won, withdrew the money and the wanted me back, surely I don't qualify. So I contacted them and ended up re-deposited only $800, got a bonus and just happen that my losing bets where at that book this time, so it worked out. That book was BetOnline btw.

Anyway, spread it around as Sharpcat suggested.

this is very discouraging. i'd like to continue to play seriously but don't feel like moving to vegas. can somebody dispute this.

depends where you are talking about
stick with the best books and you should be 'safe'
but whether you can win at some of them with high vig is another issue
Matchbook (and Parlaymakers probably) the best for odds
Matchbook won't limit you - some are saying they don't always have enough liquidity but if you give yourself time to play and monitor it, more money gets posted and on the major US sports you would normally be able to get your $10k on
Also I understand that if you phone books like Bookmaker you will be able to bet more than the online limit shows you can.
But the survival of these books may also be an issue if some of those talked about US anti-gambling laws are passed

As TheGreat says, once you get a "significant" amount of money. Vegas would be your "safest" place per se and as for now wanting to move there, well then you are not betting extremely seriously anyway. As an American, you will hit limit issues online and thus you would want to move to Vegas to open up more places to get more money down; In-other-words, combining online outs with local outs. However, like most, you don't have to move to Vegas and still make a good living just using online places, however it just is not as safe. As with any business, you have inventory shrinkage or theft and online sports betting is no different.

Anyway, spread your money around, but keep most of you bankroll in a close by place, like a bank.
