some questions about payout by check in the US

I was always under the impression that checks from sportsbooks and other online gambling sites would be rejected at banks and check cashing places, but I've had some people tell me that asking for a check is the best way to get a payout. Was I wrong?? Can I just take a check from a sportsbook to the bank or check cashing joint without being questioned or turned down?? Again, I'm in the US so that's why I've had my doubts.

I've never requested a check as a payout method before and if I can do it without any problems it would be more convenient for me, so if someone could let me know what the deal is and gimme some Tips I'd appreciate it thanks.

the check doesn,t come from the book.they come from a processor.the ones that come from a book that accepts us players will be drawn on a us bank or if drawn on canadian bank with a us bank(mostly NY) payout location.no problem Mion

In 20 years, I have had just one problem with a check from a sportsbook. About four years ago wsex bounced a check for 3K. They apologized, issued a new one, and covered bank fee. Matchbook checks are good as gold.
