Avoid 5Dimes casinos (and any and all other online casinos, for that matter)
So, foolish me, I'm playing multi-hand blackjack in 5Dimes' Jackpot casino, and I'm dealt 2 hands, one with two queens, and the second with a 4 and a King. The dealer has a 3 showing. Before I can do anything, the casino collects the $5 that were bet on each hand, and indicates that both hands busted, even though I had not been able to do a single thing to either hand. Ironically, the dealer showed a 3, 9, A and 6, for a total of 19. I had not been given the option to hit, which I would not have done anyway, and I actually would have lost one hand and one the other. The history of this is given below:

    9163054 2007-12-07 18:01:53 Player Bet: 5.00 on Position: 2
Player Bet: 5.00 on Position: 3
    Dealer Deal
    Player Cards on Position 2: Q♠, Q♠ (20)
    Player Cards on Position 3: 4♣, K♣ (14)
    Dealer Cards: 3♥
    Dealer Deal
    Player Cards on Position 2: Q♠, Q♠, Q♥, A♠ (31)
    Player Cards on Position 3: 4♣, K♣, 10♠, 9♦ (33)
    Dealer Cards: 3♥, 9♣, A♦, 6♥ (19) 10.00 0.00 466.13 0.00 0.00 0.00

Amazingly, the log shows no player hits, yet somehow has me with hands of 31 and 33, which wouldn't even be possible for the sequence of cards indicated.
I called 5dimes to complain, and was told that a supervisor would credit my account within roughly 20 minutes, which never happened.

Stupidly, I continued to play blackjack at 5D, and within about 30 minutes, I lost about 500 dollars. Here is a sample of the last dozen or so hands:

Just a word of warning--avoid these online casinos, guys. I hope none of you are as stupid as me. I'm done with this, and certainly with 5dimes.

Time and again, I hear people say,"Why would online casinos cheat? They already have an edge. They already make money." Well, duh, if they cheat, they have more of an edge--that is, they make more money. And who is going to record 250,000 hands to look for aberrations? Seems pretty simple to me that these places cheat.

Meanwhile, I'm still waiting on that $10.

Well, i still have not been credited with the $10 that 5dimes stole from me. This one's pretty cut and dried.

Claggart, the $10 should be in your cashier account.

Claggart, the way they put the free $10 in your sportsbook account is pretty unorthodox but it most likely is there. It doesn't show up in your balance even though you think you can see your sportsbook balance. You have to hit the sportsbook tab on the homepage and log in again and it should be there.

As for online blackjack,I only play it with freebie promotion.I have had very mixed views on it all the way for it being in my favor beyond belief to being exactly what land based casino odds probabilities are to being totally ripoff bogus.Nevertheless,no one knows if it can be rigged so I wouldn't trust it.

I've played enough online BJ at enough online casinos to know that the odds are exactly what they're supposed to be. It's a loser's game, it's not rigged, don't play without a bonus.

That is just how it plays in the casino. I lost 28 hands in a row playing let it ride, but on another occasion I had 4 four of a kinds in 25 minutes. The past two weeks I've hot 4 straight flushes. You just have to hope you get it when the time is right. This isn;t at 5 dimes, but the same software DGS.

Nope, it appears I still have not been credited with the $10 that 5Dimes stole. Here's what was on the cashier menu:

                Current Balance: $ 0.13 USD
                No Pending Payouts:

                --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                Available: $ 0.13 USD

I would watch it with this book, gentlemen. Any book willing to purloin $10 may be willing to try to take a lot more.

So when you contacted them back about it? What did they say about your $10.00 not being credited?

I have played at 5 dimes casino 6 times, taking advantage of a promotion each time. Their promotion would have offered a big advantage if the software was fair. I lost all 6 times playing perfect basic strategy at blackjack. It doesn't proove they cheat, but 5 dimes has some smart management and why would they offer such a lucrative promotion unless they knew their software at blackjack was more like a slot machine than perfectly random selection from fair decks of cards?

I don't recommend playing with the casino software 5 dimes and ABC islands uses. I have seen some strong evidence, not just my own play, that it is not the same random process similiar to what one would find in a live blackjack game at a brick and mortar casino. This software comes across as crappy, and is not in wide use.

I believe the casino software Bookmaker, Jamaica, Olympic uses to be fine, and in wide use. I am 99% certain this software is honest in terms of random process, although the house has the edge and you are going to lose in the long run, even with basic strategy.

The best casino software is offered at Intertops. Microgaming software is the most reputable on the web. This company has clearly explained how their random process works, the website can not alter the executable, and independent auditors have tested millions of hands. I am almost 100% sure this software is honest.

I played 5dimes casino. I even tried it in reverse betting with the house. I basically took 1 bet and had to chase it I think about 10 or 11 times to finally catch up. So basically I was down over 1500 in a row.

So I called up again today, and was told that there was no note attached to my account indicating that I should be credited $10. When I again explained everything today, I was told that I still could not be credited with the $10 b/c the technical supervisors had found a glitch in the Jackpot Casino software and they had to investigate that first. So, basically, I'm getting the runaround over $10. Ridiculous, especially from such a highly-rated book. I was told to check back, though the clerk couldn't tell me when to call back when I pressed her. I think I need the big boys from SBR to step in for me.

                            Time to get SBR involved

I called 5dimes again, and I was told today (Monday, 12/10/07, 2 pm EDT) that an email had been sent to the technical supervisors of the Jackpot casino, but that they hadn't responded yet. So, the customer service rep told me I should feel free to call back later this evening or tomorrow morning, but that basically, nothing had been done yet.

                              Crazy,
Great suggestion. I got on live chat, and finally got to Tony. He was very apologetic, and he said I was to have been credited with $20 yesterday, but the person who was to have done that (Matt) neglected to do so. Anyway, he put the $20 in my account, and he even told me I could check back tomorrow afternoon to get to the bottom of things as regards the glitch. He handled this very professionally.
