I won the SBR NBA Playoff contest that both books sponsored just like BoDog did. BoDog paid the awards in a couple of days. Over a week later, WagerChief and BetMania have still yet to pay. Are these books so bush league that they won't even pay up on a contest that they agree to sponsor? So much for all the publicity that they received for sponsoring the contest. Their true colors are showing now.

#2Hi Vince,
If you check to see in the past we always take care of forum winners but in this case there were terms for that promotion like SBR LOU explained to you , I do not think any other book takes care of SBR posters like we do.
1. Free MONEYGRAM and Western Union payouts
2. Great reload bonuses
3. Welcome freeplays and 2nd chance freeplays
4. Freeplays on your home team
Any SBR poster that has dealt with me knows that I am an understanding and I am always willing to help the player.
Please PM me your acct and I will look at this myself but the contest stated the terms very clearly.
Thanks

#3I called and talked to account reps at both books to see if I needed to make a deposit inorder to be eligible for the contest prizes because I already had an account and used them quite a bit during football and college basketball season. Both reps told me that my account was good for one contest entry with each book. That's all I went by. If I needed to deposit a few bucks to be prize eligible I sure would have.Comment -

You won't be able to pressure the book in the sportsbook forum. As clearly noted in the contest threads (WagerChief NBA, BetMania NBA), a deposit of $20 & $25 was required. Congrats on winning the other $500 from the no-deposit contests. I'm not sure why you wouldn't funnel any questions on the contest terms through SBR, but the clerk you spoke to wouldn't be informed as to the SBR promos. Being given the wrong answer doesn't entitle you to bypass the sign-up rules everyone else had to follow.Comment -

#10I changed the title. Can't let a poster bring on bad PR for the books that sponsor contests here. Not good for business.
Vince if you want to rant about it please do so in the forum called Private Zone. Thanks.Comment -

#11I agree with the title change
wagerchief has given away a shitload of stuff here always without no bull shit
The rules were quite clear. I did not play in contest because I could not make the deposit
A guy who would title a thread like this in a childish way. I wonder what his actual cash deposit history is at this place aside from free shit he gets from sbrComment -

#12I second this post, WagerChief is a very solid book and has been more than generous with their promotions/contests/giveaways on SBR, quit your whining Vincent.Originally posted by Unicorn7I agree with the title change wagerchief has given away a shitload of stuff here always without no bull shit The rules were quite clear. A requirement of a $25 deposit doesn't fit today's needs. Some books require a deposit even if you have a balance already. That's dumb....an active player should be plenty good enough.Comment -

#20That is a real bummer, but you know these off shore books. Unless you talk to someone who actually is aware of what is heppening, you will probably get bogus information like you did in this case. You deserve better, but in today's off shore world, they will stoop to anything to save a buck.Comment -

Congrats Vince Lombardi - NBA Playoffs champion!
Congrats to SBRforum poster Vince Lombardi, who won the BetMania, Bodog, and WagerChief NBA contests - netting himself $1400 in sportsbook cash!
Wager Chief and BetMania never paid the prize money. If I don't get paid for winning the SBR NBA Playoff contests, who did? If this just their way in not paying the winner the prize???Comment -

#26I talked to Jon at Wager Chief and he is a stand up guy. He's giving me something for my effort and I appreciate that. He was the first person to respond and explain why I didn't get an award. I know the terms of the contest said you had to have a WC account and deposit at least $25 dollars. I thought that the $25 deposit might be required for newly opened accounts to be eligible for the contest. Since I already had a WC account and had made previous deposits I called to talk to a rep to see if I still needed to make a deposit to be prize eligible. I was told by the rep that my account was good for one contest entry. I thought I was good. This was my mistake. I should have gone to moneygram and made a deposit. Obvioulsy, the $25 wasn't the problem. The time and effort of doing the cash transaction was what I was trying to avoid. I have learned my lesson. I will not take the word of a book account rep as factual and I will just follow all contest requirements without any questions or I will not participate.
I would like to apologize to Jon at WC and SBR for the stir I created by not following the terms to the T. I didn't mean any harm to anyone involved.Comment -

#27WAGERCHIEF again going out of its way to give something to a customer, when they could have stated the rules and said sorry - like every other book. this place is amazing. i too broke a few rules to do with freeplay and parlays. hit a couple, was paid anyways. i was given more free play money after that to play my favorite team. was up a couple gran at the time. cashed out after nfl over 8 gran up. 1 small problem with 1 check. they did not take the money out for 2 days, i called and was told small delay for checks but bank wires would be fast and because of the problem with the check they would be willing to double the withdraw limit for free by bank wire. i have cashed completely out. fast and easy. will load up again before nfl. love this place. the best customer service possible. thanks to shawn and of course jon. thanks again we all appreciate it.Comment
