You are probably looking at the 90 minute market for the match. This includes the regulation time + the injury time added (a couple of minutes).
If after 90 minutes + injury time the teams are tied, then they will play extra time, 2x15 minute halfs. If still tied there will be a penalty shootout.
If you want to bet on the team to qualify to the next round it will usually say "to qualify" or "advances to the next round" or something along those lines. It will be a two-way market that does not include the draw option. However, as there are lots of props and special bets going around, make sure you don't confuse the "to qualify" (or similar) with the DRAW NO BET market - which is also a two-way. If you bet on the draw no bet market you will get your stake back if it is tied after 90 minutes. It should specifically state in the market description if it includes extra time + penalties or not.
Odds will likely be much shorter - as for instance if you bet on the USA to qualify, then you will win the bet if they win in 90 minutes, they win in extra time, or if they win on penalties.
But even in tournament play with knockout system it is common that the default line displayed is the home/draw/away line.

Yes ^
On the main wagering selection screen at DSI you have two categories
FIFA - WORLD CUP, but also FIFA WC - TO QUALIFY - OT INCLUDED. If you don't care if the USA wins in regulation, OT or shootouts, then you can bet the US to qualify at -130 in the category where it says OT and shootouts are included.. If they go through to the next round by any method, you win. If you think they will win in regulation you bet on them at +140 on the market that does not include OT. However if there is a tie after 90 minutes, and irregardless of whether or not the USA wins or not, you will lose your bet.
Not meaning to spoonfeed the op and I am sure you got it already, but there may be others out there that is confused by this.

Thanks Chop. All that aside what can we expect from the USA? I have no confidence in these guys and am thinking of fading them here, what say you all? BTW I know ZERO about soccer, absolutely nothing, just a hunch these guys don't even show up tomorrow.

Ghana eliminated them from the last world cup i believe. It will be a good match, and i wouldn't be surprised to see a draw 1-1 or 0-0 after 90

USA will beat Ghana and move into the semis.
Ghana has only scored 2 goals in the tournament - both off penalties.
They drew 1-1 with Australia who had 10 men for 70 minutes.
USA beat Australia 3-1 in a pre WC friendly.
USA win 1-0

I'd bet on two monkeys fuc king if I could make a buck off it. I mean come on, I was athletic as a kid, I never played organized kickball, they'd kick your ass just for being on the field where I come from. Nobody respects kickball players. BTW I did know enough to understand the USA would probably get their butts kicked today.

Do either of you really know anything that might be of use in beating a line that is bet on by millions of gamblers? I would say the answer to that question is NO and McIrish has just as good a chance at coming up roses as either of you.

big differences there Andy
Toit and OvertimePlease made no suggestions that they knew anything about that line
They quite reasonably in view of McIrish's confession of ignorance about it were simply questioning his playing it

His 'a hunch these guys don't even show up' didn't suggest it was a value-bet or an arb either.
