With football season on the horizon will you fell more comfortable w/ a 'local guy' or one of the A rated sportsbook that may offer a cash or rollover bonus ???..just wondering if the average person feels more comfortable knowing if they want a withdraw that they do not have to jump through hoops to get there money...just maybe this thread might get the attention of a sportsbook or 2 to reduce or even nullify the (for the most part) fees to get back YOUR OWN money and dealing with the terrible ordeal of most customer service

#3If you live in Las Vegas, you can go directly into the "Sports Area" in any casino there. Poeple who are from Bayarea in California will mostly go to Local guys more than sportsbooks.Comment -

#12Depends on your volume...if you bet daily and have handle of thousands a week gotta go offshore to save some juice...if you just bet a couple hundred on a couple of college games and Monday night football might as well stay local.Comment -

#15Offshore still better in spite of the hassles. It's like Amazon vs. your local "book" store - don't think you will find a local that can compete on price.Comment -

#16Best to have a handful of locals and offshore. I use offshore for 1H and 2nd half bets and locals for full game bets.
Most locals use the same lines as offshore books and a lot of times you can get a better number on select games when going against the home team in your area.Comment -

#19Great Answers ..shopping lines "excellent"...volume you r betting to save juice "great"...as far as Peep question I think ..just for football it is benefiecial to 'me' to have both ..I feel I have the best offshore around w/ Heritage, although if something goes wrong late on a Sat. night I dont want to go through the whole 'reload' ordeal before the games start Sun. esp if I wake up late...I also have 5 D but I feel the customer service Sucks and tht is an understatementComment -

Over 30 years using locals and never had one stiff. Not hard to find locals that have been around for years.
The notion that you can not line shop or get a good number is false.Comment -

#25There are advantages and disadvantages to both. If you honestly think that you do not end up paying for all of those "Bonuses" and that lower vig that sportsbooks offer you, you are the perfect player for them. It is getting easier and easier for off shore books to rip people off. The Feds are actually helpingthem by making it so difficult go get moeny out of these books once you request it.
Locals often give you "bad" lines. Many will play the "come out" lines at the Hilton in football. Those are the lines that come out on Sunday afternoon, Vegas time, in the week before the games are played. They will look for bad lines, wager on them, wait for the lines to adjust, and then offer their players the adjusted lines. This is an old trick that locals have been doing since the days when the Stardust wasthe book that announced the "comeout" lines. Locals can also adjust their lines to cover themselves.
What it comes down to is a matter of trust. If you trust you local, and get paid off regularaly, that is the way to go. You get your money immediately, no questions asked. You do not have to wait for weeks, or months at a time to get your money, while the off shore books use it in any way they want. If you do not know or trust your local, then you may want to use an A+ rated off shore book. Either way, the choises are #2 and 3. Nothing beats the convience of a Vegas book, especially one at one of the better hotels. How many drinks does your off shore book buy you? How many free rooms do they give you? How many free meals do you get? How many free shows do you get? How many ladies do you get? How many times do you get paid off immediately, with no questions asked? Enough said.Comment -
