OK, I'm fairly new to the board, but have been capping for over 30 years. I like what I see, but I have noticed one thing that is hard for me to figure out. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
The question is about the matchup data. Let's look at the NBA and NHL matchups, so you can see what I mean.
First, the NBA: In the New Houston vs. San Antonio game (defensive statistics), under FT (Free Throws), the team with the lower number is San Antonio at 70.5%. Houston shows 77.2%. The 70.5% is in Red, which to me means it is the worse of the two. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't a good defensive statistic be the lower number. In other words, shouldn't the 77.2% for Houston be the worse number?
Now to look at the NHL for comparison: And using the same logic, lets look at the Montreal vs. Buffalo game and again looking at defensive stats, look at SHT% and you'll see that the better number (the number in green) is the lower number! Am I missing something here or are these numbers in conflict with each other?
If I'm looking at something wrong, please let me know......
Thanks and GLTA,
