I don't really get why people play anywhere other than PokerStars or FullTilt. I've played on Cake and other sites before, but unless there's an edge I'm missing, why do people play at these sites?

Well im looking for further information, he did say "players" so I assumed it was more than just his account. What draws player into Cake when Stars and FT are out there though is my question? Bonuses? Fish? I am curious.

well they have a $600 dollar deposit bonus, but you have to clear it and it probably doesn't go anymore quickly than the bonus on stars or tilt. Not really sure what the appeal of cake is, they have a wider network and have some gambling sites that use there poker software so maybe that contributes a couple extra fish. Also I think you can get rakeback with cake, soem people may have already joined full tilt before they knew about rakeback but may not have an account at cake and be joining for that reason.

I've played briefly at cake and didn't see any huge upside compared to full tilt or stars but they also have a good reputation and i have not read any cases where they have screwed players out of money, so I'm sure there is a reason that account is locked. For anyone that is considering signing up at cake, do it through the cake site, not an affiliate, there is probably some chance an affiliate would screw you, cake almost certainly won't.

I can win a lot of money playing on true poker, impossible to win for me above penny blinds at the big sites. They are backed by bookmaker so really probably the second safest poker site on the web.

He doesn't even mention whether or not they gave a reason for his account being frozen.

Cake poker probably has greater than 100,000 players, and 10,000 who use the site reguraly. i have a tough time believing they are scamming players and closing accounts without cause.

LOL u would think so but believe me thats not the case. Can u say Super_ _ _ _ site is a joke and I no from some reliable ppl of shady shit that goes on there.

I play at doyles room and have never had a problem. Its nice to have three options. Doyle is the cake backed software ive used though.

its a skin on the cake poker network

The advantages of lesser-known sites is, as mentioned, looser competition. You'd think for players at higher stakes, the bigger sites would make more sense as security and solvency become more of a factor.

Luck3 has been Blacklisted as of a few days ago. Apparently they started stiffing players and affiliates, and Cake kicked them off the network. It is not expected anyone will recover any more money from them. This is in no way an indictment of the rest of Cake's skins. This one just went rogue.

I wouldn't play at any Cake sites right now [other than mabe The Greek] since Sportsbook and the rest of that family moved away from them.
