    Minor Bookmaker Complaint
Ok....so I realize that the first response to my thread is going to be that this is a "processor" issue and not Bookmaker's fault....but still.

I was going to make an online Moneygram deposit the morning at 8:00 a.m. CST. The rep told me that I will have to check back in an hour because the information is not yet available.

So....I check back in an hour and they told me that if I deposit with an online Moneygram via credit card I will have to wait 3 hours for a confirmation. I told her that I can't do that because the MLB games that I want to wager on start at 12:00 p.m. CST. She then proceeds to ask me if I can deposit via Western Union. I say, sure, no problem.

Wouldn't one assume that by her asking me that question that it would be a much quicker process?

SO....I make the deposit online through Western Union's website while I still have her on chat....and I give her the control number...she tells me that the funds will be available "as soon as possible." Maybe this is a language barrier thing....but doesn't ASAP mean NOW?

Anyway, it was around 11:15 a.m. CST when I made the deposit and the MLB games that I wanted to wager on started at 12:35 p.m. CST. One would think the funds would be in my account within the hour....

...IT IS NOW OVER 4 HOURS SINCE I MADE MY DEPOSIT AND THEY ARE STILL TELLING ME THAT THE DEPOSIT IS STILL "IN PROCESS" AND THAT THE FUNDS WILL BE AVAILABLE "AS SOON AS POSSIBLE." AGAIN, DOESN'T ASAP MEAN "NOW"???

I ask what the problem is and why the rep told me to deposit via ** since the ** confirmation would take so long....the rep tells me...."there is no problem....it is in process...." So, not only do I miss the 12:35 p.m. CST MLB games....but I miss the 3:00 P.M. CST MLB games....WTF???

Am I being unreasonable or what??

asap means as soon as possible, it doesnt mean now. As soon as Possible means that it will happen when it is possible for example. I will go to sleep as soon as possible. If I am doing a homework, for tomorow as soon as possible will be when I finish my Homework.

Gotcha...and to answer Extra Inning's question -- of course I won my games....and I was also going to bet on the under on the Colorado/Arizona game....of course, that is going well.

p.s. -- it is now close close to 5 hours....and yes, I did the "money in minutes" option. My credit card was charged immediately and I had the control number close to 5 hours ago....I gave it to Bookmaker immediately.

4 hours is long, it's usually 30 minutes. That's too long IMO.

Always check on the status of the transaction on the western union webpage to see if it was picked up.

If it says picked up and the funds aren't in your sportsbook account, let the book know.

With my ** deposits with them, it's been as quickly as about 15 minutes (if that) to the next morning (despite the fact that their processor is a 24/7 one...as proven by the fact that I deposited via online ** after midnight CT on Friday night and had the funds in there within the next couple of hours), so there can be some frustrating moments.

Nice of them to give you a little bonus with no rollover, but it'd have been even nicer to have your money + your winnings in your account. Hopefully you don't have those problems with them again.

UPDATE - my funds appeared in my Bookmaker account about 1 minute after I had received my freeplay bonus....all in all, it took about 5 hours.

Also...I made an online Moneygram deposit with Betphoenix last night around 8:00 p.m. CST....and it still hasn't hit my account, even though they said it would take about an hour.

I checked in with them this morning and they said that it should be processed after 9:00 a.m. ET this morning. This is a somewhat alarming trend...Does it have anything to do with the new regulations?

You have every reason to be upset. Bookmaker is usually very fast but this was too long. Better luck the next time.

This kind of thing will happen when using Western Union or ** online, in addition to this it's more of a hassle/ prompts more follow-up questions from the staff via phone, and most books don't reimburse the higher fees for sending with a CC. Had you sent ** in person, you would have had your funds within the hour.
